In reading Phil Hellmuth's CardPlayer.com article, he describes a hand
they showed in the latest ESPN show.

On the show (in a non-feature table) Phil has A-K vs Sam Farha's Q-J
suited

Sammy hits a flush and takes the pot of a disgruntled Phil who had top
pair

However in Phils article
(http://www.cardplayer.com/?sec=afeature&art_id=13346) he recounts it as
having K-Q...now i'm assuming Phil understands the difference and would
not misremember an A-K as a K-Q, he even says that he wouldn't have been
upset if sammy showed him a-k so i find it hard to believe he has
misrememred this hand

And this recount from a post by Dutch Boyd:

"This isn´t exactly right... ESPN has been filling in the blanks whenever
the feel they need to. Let me recount a call that I got about a week
ago...

- Hey Dutch, this is so and so from ESPN. What´s up?
me - Not much.
- We need some information about a hand you played on day four against
Watkins. The flop came Q42. He checked, you bet, he called. Turn is a
7. He checked, you bet, and he folded. Do you remember what you had?
- Uhhh... nope.
- Well what should we put in for the program?
- I don´t care.
- Well, what do you think you might have had?
- I don´t know... how am I supposed to remember? I guess just say I had
pocket queens.
- Beautiful. Talk to you later.

You´ll probably see that hand tomorrow. There have been other hands that
they got wrong, for example my set of fours against the set of jacks.
That´s not how it happened. We both flopped a set with the flop JT4. I
had tens, he had jacks. Turn is a ten. River is a four. So if I don´t
seem too happy on the river, it´s because I was happy on the turn and a
bit apologetic on the river."

Why make something up for the sake of making something up? If it
doesn't add anything, why screw up the integrity of the program?

How did they get your phone number?

"RTN4"om...

They probably asked players that they were recording to complete a short bio
form. In another thread Bob Ferduniak said they called him to confirm some
innocuous stuff.

I was on Phil's left during that hand... ESPN had it right. Not sure what
Phil says in his article.
