easy to LOL when it doesn't apply to you personally. These numbers are an
absolute embarrassment, 17% of GDP and we STILL leave 40 million uncovered.

You're partially right. I should have said shorter and more brutish.
Someone can deny that it's more expensive but the facts slap them in the
face.

It's also a fact that more government involvement in healthcare makes a
healthcare system less expensive, more efficient, and higher quality.
Medicare and the VA healthcare system are proof of that.

Depends on what you mean by more expensive. Of the top 10 most
expensive countries to live in, the USA doesn't even appear on the
list but many of the countries you mention do. Please elaborate on
what you mean by "brutish". Shorter by a few years, maybe, but those
statistics get skewed by the violence of the inner cities and the
death of young men at the hands of each other.

The Federal Employees Health Benefits Program (FEBHP), with 8,000,000
subscribers, is a much, much better example of that than is VA health care.

One example of brutish would be someone dying because they don't have
affordable healthcare. You probably could have figured that out yourself.

Yeah, it probably isn't because only 40 million Americans have zero
healthcare because it's unaffordable.

What do you think the total of deaths from inner city violence in the US
is each year in percentage terms of the overall population? The highest
fatality cities in the US are probably no more than 200 - 300 per year.
