I am interested in finding recipes on ice cream drinks.
I posted to rec.food.drinks, but got no responses as to even if that
was the right place to post or not. In other words, no one answered.
I am looking for people's favorites and that sort of thing.
Any recipes people can send my way or post??
Thanks very much!

Here is one of our favrites,,,Take a whole peach, slice it up and add 2
tbl honey or sugar then add cup of ice Then blend on high about 1 minute
This makes a refreshing NON-FAT delicious drink,,and if you wanna keep
it calorie low simply use Equal instead of other sweetners,,This turns
out kinda like a Peach Shake but one thats healthy as well as Tasty

Here's some icecream drinks everyone can enjoy!

Icecream floats: Serves 1.

In a large parfait glass(or a large, tall drinking glass), drop in
2 scoops of vanilla icecream or vanilla-flavored frozen yogurt(or even
that vanilla-flavored sugarless icecream that is out now). Don't use
sherbet...it doesn't taste right with soda in it.
Next, pour in enough of your favorite soda(regular or sugarfree, and NOT
seltzer!!!) to fill the glass. Do this SLOWLY as the icecream rises and
the fizz does too. :) Ginger ale doesn't work too well with this either.
Insert straw, and grab a spoon. Sip, and enjoy the icecream once the soda
is gone. You've just had your first rootbeer, orange, grape, etc float.
============================================================================

An alcoholic drink: MUDSLIDE! - serves 2.

This is one of my personal favorites. :)

3 scoops of cookies and cream icecream(lowfat or regular)
1/4 c. milk(lowfat, 1%, 2% or homogenized-no flavored milk)
2 shots(= 2 oz) Kahlua
1 shot (= 1 oz) white Creme de Cacao (chocolate-tasting liqueur)
1/2 shot (= 1/2 oz) dark rum(Meyer's tastes best)
1 Tbsp. Hershey's chocolate syrup

Put all these into a blender and run through until the mixture is just
starting to appear to go through the blender very easily. You don't want
this runny, you want it thick like a shake, but well-mixed together.
If it gets too thin, add some more icecream. If it gets too thick, add
2 Tbsp. more milk, and try again.
Pour into 2 wide glasses, insert a straw, and enjoy!

==============================================================================

An alcoholic drink: MINT FROSTY! -serves 2. My own creation.

3 scoops mint chocolate chip icecream
1 shot(=1 oz) peppermint schnapps
1 shot(=1 oz) creme de menthe
1/4 c. milk(lowfat, 1%, 2%, or homogenized-no flavored milk)

Put all of these into a blender, and work through as above for the
Mudslides.
Pour into 2 wide glasses, insert straw, and enjoy!

That's about all I can think of for now. DO enjoy them!
