Old-Fashioned Lemon Sauce

1/2 cup butter
1 cup sugar
1/4 cup water
1 egg, well beaten
3 Tbs. lemon juice (1 lemon)
grated rind of 1 lemon

Combine in saucepan and cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, just until
mixture comes to a boil.

Makes 1 1/3 cups.
