Pork Steak Casserole
1 1/2 lb. pork steak cut into strips
2 Tbsp. oil
1 lg. onion, chopped
1 sm. green pepper, chopped
14 oz. can mushrooms, drained
8 oz. can tomato sauce
3 Tbsp. brown sugar
1 1/2 Tbsp. vinegar
1 1/2 tsp. salt
2 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
Brown pork in oil in skillet. To remove excess fat drain on paper towels.
Place pork strips and all remaining ingredients in crockpot for 6 to 8 hours
on low or 4 hours on high. Serve over noodles or rice. Can be placed in a
greased casserole dish and baked for 2 hours at 350 degrees.
Autumn Pork Roast
3 to 4 lb. pork roast
Salt & pepper
1 cup cranberries, finely chopped
1/4 cup honey
1 tsp. grated orange peel
1/8 tsp. ground cloves
1/8 tsp. ground nutmeg
Sprinkle roast with salt and pepper. Place in slow cooking crockpot.
Combine remaining ingredients. Pour over roast. Cover. Cook on low for 8
to 10 hours. Makes 6 to 8 servings.
Crock Pot Pork Roast With Gravy
4 to 5 lbs. loin end roast
1 clove garlic, sliced
2 med. onions, sliced
1 bay leaf
1 whole clove
1 cup hot water
2 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
Rub roast with salt and pepper. make tiny slits in meat and insert
slivers of garlic. In crock pot put 1 sliced onion on bottom. Add roast
then remaining onion and other ingredients. Cover and cook 1 hour on high.
Turn to low and cook 9 to 10 hours or until done. GRAVY: Remove roast,
onions, clove and bay leaf. In separate cup or bowl, blend 2 tablespoons
cold water with 2 tablespoons cornstarch to form smooth paste. Set crockpot
on high and pour in paste. Stir well and let come to a boil (10 to 15
minutes) until thickened.
Pork Barbecue
6 to 8 lbs. pork roast
8 to 10 whole cloves
1 med. onion, sliced
2 cup water
Salt and pepper (just a little)
18 to 24 oz. bottle Bull's Eye Barbecue sauce
In crockpot, put water, cloves, roasts and onion. Cook on low for 8 hours.
Them remove, debone and remove fat, discard cloves, onion and water. Shred
pork and put it back in the crockpot with a new sliced onion and the bottle
sauce. Cook on low 4 to 8 hours. Serve with slaw and on buns. Great for a
crowd. Serves 12 hungry people.
