Can anyone give me their experiences with, and method of, drying and
storing figs? Thanks in advance for your help.

3lbs of fresh figs make 1 lb of dry. Wash carefully to remove any
dirt. Remove stem. Large figs may be halved to shorten drying time. If
you are drying in a dehydrator they do not need to be sulfured to
discourage insects(this is only needed if you dry outside). Dry at 160
degrees for 2 hours. Then lower to 130 till dry. They are dry when they
are leathery with no pockets of moisture.
YOu can also make fig fruit leather which will keep for almost 2
years.
