I am curious. What is the difference between black raspberries and
blackberries? Do they taste different?

They are TOTALLY different berries with equally different tastes.
Black raspberries are more akin to red raspberries than to
blackberries.

Yes they are different (I prefer black raspberries smaller seeds more punch)
In my neck of the woods, Illinois, black raspberries are finished and
blackberries are in. The way I tell them apart (outside of flavor and
texture) is when you pick a black raspberry a small cone is left on the
plant, when you pick a blackberry it comes off the stem square or with no
cone remaining.
