I don't have this problem, just wondering :-)

I really enjoy cocktails and alcohol a lot.
It is not the "force" of the alcohol that i like but its taste.
I often make parties at home where my friends and i create and drink
sometimes lots of alcoholised drinks.
When i am alone at home, i rarely spend more than 3 days without
making myself a good old cocktail, like a Dry Martini or a Manhattan.
I really love that moment and i take my time do prepare it and to
drink it.
So i know i love alcohol and it would be difficult for me not to drink
a glass of it anymore, but i don't think i am an "alcoholic".
There is a difference between drinking one cocktail or one glass of a
very good alcohol (like a single malt whisky) about every 3 days, and
drinking 2 or 3 blended whiskies, or 1 bottle of wine each day...
Stéphane.
Just by referring to lonely drinking as "this problem" you consider it a
sign of alkoholism??
I sometimes like to drink on my own. Not because I'm an alcoholic or
because I'm bored but sometimes, some things taste better when you're on
your own. A good whisky or cognac for instance. Especialy while smoking
a good cigar.

I'll ditto that.
It's hard to enjoy something as complex as a good single malt Scotch or
cognac when there's some idiot (or TV) chattering away at you.
I like to pour a wee nip when I get home from work or dinner and sit out
on my patio and look for the first stars to work their way out the
twilight. (For the next few nights: look toward the western horizon
about 30 minutes after sunset. You'll two bright "stars". The one on the
upper left is Saturn; the one on the lower right is Mercury.)
