I know that Long Island Iced Tea is supposed to have fresh
squeezed lime or lemon juice as one of the ingredients. But
I'm trying to find a substitute for this since I don't always have
access to these fruits at home.
I bought a bottle with "Lime juice cordial mixer" from MONIN
(France) and wonder if that is something I can use as a
substitute for the lime/lemon juice in Long Island Iced Tea?

The ingredients in the bottle are:
water, suger, concentrated lime juice, concentrated lemon juice,
natural lime extract.

Any ideas?

From the relatively large amount of sugar present, it sounds like what
you have is similar to Rose's Lime Juice. In other words, it's sort of
like actual lemon and/or lime juice, only sweeter and syrupier. So if you
were using it in a L.I.I.T., you might want to skip the Triple Sec
(assuming that your recipe includes it), to compensate for the added
sweetness.

But really, something like that is best suited for a Gimlet. A better
substitute for fresh lemons would be RealLemon. You know, the stuff that
comes in little plastic yellow lemon-shaped containers (and also in
larger bottles). I don't know if they have it where you are, but they
might have some other brand. Basically, you're looking for 100% lemon
juice, even if it has been reconstituted from concentrate. No sugar or
other junk added.

It's not as good as the real thing, but for a drink like the L.I.I.T.,
where subtlety is not an issue, it will do okay.
