MW> Can anybody satisfy my curiosity to what a grape kneehigh is?
MW> It's what Radar always has in M*A*S*H.
It's a flavour of soda pop available in the U.S.. I'd never seen any either,
until we were at a discount drugstore about a month ago, and they had it.

It's spelled "NEHI" (I've always seen it capitalized this way, so
I'm not sure whether "NeHi" or "Nehi" would be correct). It's a
simply a carbonated grape drink, popular in the '50s and '60s,
particularly in the southern US. NEHI came in other flavors, too.
All brightly colored, with lots of real sugar (sucrose).
It might be still available in certain areas, I don't know. It
certainly isn't distributed as widely as it was 25 years ago.

Not kneehigh, Nehi. A regional brand of soda. Don't know if
it's still around. Saw it a lot when I was little, esp. in Virginia,
W. Va., etc.

It's still around, especially here in the Midwest. Great soda.
And here in Atlanta. Those of you in town for Comdex should treat yourself to
a Nehi. Grape and Orange are the most common flavors, but Peach, Strawberry
and others abound.
