unborn chicken eggs

As a child,for passover my bubbe would make the chicken soup adding unborn
chicken eggs.I wanted to try and make it this passover.I called the kosher
butchers here in Phoenix and was told its not available.Does anyone know
where i can get some shipped to me?Thank You

See if you can find a good asian market, like 99 Ranch. They have them
in the frozen foods section

As far as I know, the Federal government made it illegal to sell
unhatched eggs. This happenend at least 10 years ago. The only way
that I know is to find a chicken farm that might sell them to you. But
remember, it is illegal. Too bad, cause they are delicious, and chicken
soup tastes much better with them.

Curious question:
What is an unborn chicken egg. Thought all eggs represent a possible
chicken when fertilized. Did you mean fertilized eggs?

I had heard that unborn eggs are not allowed to be sold for health
reasons (several years ago in NY; I live in CA now). I make hardboiled
eggs and use the hard-cooked yolks in the soup. It's OK, but it's not
the same as bubba's
