It's a reference book, not a coffee-table book.

It's completely browsable. It's divided into sections so you can look
through "chicken dishes" if you have chicken, etc.

I've never liked pictures in a cookbook. It takes up valuable space and
raises the price needlessly.
Luckily, we now have the Internet, which is why I no longer buy
cookbooks.
