There are a lot of closed minded jackasses in this world. Big girls
need loving too.

Hi Judith,

"closed minded jackasses" for sure. But there is more
going on here than meets the eye.

Since this kind of discrimination is common at night
clubs and it is no secret whatsoever, these women
were going there to pick a fight. So there were more
"jackasses" than just the night club. Now whether
picking a fight was just to get attention or to
demonstrate a form of discrimination is up for
debate.

"Big girls need loving too". We all need love in
our lives. But in a nightclub or a bar? That
is the stupidest place to look for it. These
women were clearly picking a fight, not looking
for love.

And lets not forget the male/female double standard.
Females do not like it when men have standards in
dating, but they have no qualms about their own
standards: attractive, 6' 2", six figure salary.
(Guys call this 1% guy "Chad"). Women write
whole books about rich man (Chad), poor women
but gripe about men wanting their wives to be pretty.

So next time a socially awkward and/or unattractive
man dares to say "hello" to you at work, try your
damnedest not to report him the H.R. for being
a "creep".

There are a lot of "closed minded jackasses" out
there for sure: both male and female.

These women picking a fight like this is not
the way to change people's attitudes.

Has the thought crossed your mind that these girls were only looking

I was trying to be nice when I wrote 'loving'; I should have been more
direct and wrote that perhaps they were looking to have a few drinks
and find a guy for sex. A fight was probably the last thing they
wanted.

Most women I know are just looking for a nice guy; preferably one who
practices good hygiene.

Again, I have my doubts that they were looking for a fight.

Hi Judith,

Your analysis is bad. Those clubs screen to make sure
only the pretty, popular people get in. If those
models were only looking to find someone to fornicate
with, there are tons of other options. And they
most definitely knew they be turned away. They
went there on purpose.

And the guys in those clubs are not "nice" guys. They
are attractive and successful guys. They are only there
to "play" with girls. Nice guys do not do that.

Those models showed up there on purpose becasue they knew
they be turned away. They were most definitely there to
pick a fight. Whether justified on not, is open for debate.

Beauty is subjective. There will always be someone,
some where that finds them pretty.

Next time you go to the mall, check out how many
fat girls are there with guys that adore them.

Instead if KFing all the people who cross post perhaps you should
consider filtering them groups. Set up a filter for specific news
groups. Most of the cross posted crap is being posted in certain
groups. You should know by know which groups they are. A good place to
start is alt. , and anything with words like jew, religion, Limbaugh in
the group name. FWIW, I never saw anything in that thread until yours
and I am assuming that the cross post filter cut them out but yours
made it through because you removed the other groups before posting.

I can't speak for all countries, but we have accepted a lot of
Ukrainian refugees. We know that they have are seeking refuge from a n
invasion by a common enemy. Meanwhile, we have been accepting refugees
from many other countries. At the same time we have thousands and
thousands of "asylum seekers" whose claims are questionable, and many
of them streaming across the border at "irregular" border crossings
because of a loop hole that allows them to enter the county are
"irregular" crossings because of a safe third country rule that would
have denied them entry if they had tried to cross at a regular border
crossing.

Our resources for refugee support are at the breaking point. We are
overwhelmed but asylum seekers from places like Africa and South
America, people who should be applying for immigration through regular
channels rather than using bogus refugee claims.

Our federal government has been shipping the asylum seekers to places
like Niagara Falls where there are lots of hotels and giving them
welfare. The Ukrainian refugees are different. I have met a number of
them and they are all working rather than living off our tax payers.

Baloney. The Boomers here are a lot more welcoming to immigrants and
refugees than our forefathers were. There are lots of countries with
non white majorities. If we whites are as bigoted as you suggest you
might expect that the people looking for refugee status or to immigrate
legally you might expect them to be swarming to some of those places.

Maybe in Haywhyee Boomers here grew up in cities with many different
accents. In Philadelphia where I grew up I could tell what part of the
city you lived in from you accent. As an example, Tacony Italian accent

"Ue o Muite Arukō" (Japanese: 上を向いて歩こう, "I Look Up as I Walk"), alternatively titled "Sukiyaki", is a song by Japanese crooner Kyu Sakamoto, first released in Japan in 1961. The song topped the charts in a number of countries, including the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 in 1963...

The song grew to become one of the world's best-selling singles of all time, selling over 13 million copies worldwide.

The lyrics tell the story of a man who looks up and whistles while he is walking so that his tears will not fall, with the verses describing his memories and feelings. Ei wrote the lyrics while walking home from participating in the 1960 Anpo protests against the U.S.-Japan Security Treaty, expressing his frustration and dejection at the failed efforts to stop the treaty. However, the lyrics were purposefully generic so that they might refer to any lost love...

An instrumental version of the song was played by NASA over the radio for the Gemini VII astronauts as mood music, thereby becoming one of the first pieces of music sent to humans in space....

In Anglophone countries, the song is best known under the alternative title "Sukiyaki", the name of a Japanese hot-pot dish with cooked beef. The word sukiyaki does not appear in the song's lyrics, nor does it have any connection to them; it was used only because it was short, catchy, recognizably Japanese, and more familiar to English speakers...

A Newsweek columnist compared this re-titling to issuing "Moon River" in Japan under the title "Beef Stew"..."

You'd think that with each generation, people become less white,
because of all the mixing. Unless people don't mix.

Dealing with large numbers of asylum seekers is also a matter of
creativity. In the Dutch city of Dronten, asylum seekers were stealing
bicycles on a large scale. The city council solved that by giving

[ THANK YOU FOR THE HISTORY LESSON, Mike... ;-) ]

Interesting, some of the expellees eventually went to Louisiana, where they are called "Cajuns"... too bad
"Acadia" didn't survive...they were poor French immigrants; some inter - married with the local native
peoples... and they had a Confederacy:

"Wabanaki Confederacy

In response to King Philip's War (1675–78) in New England, the native peoples in Acadia joined the Wabanaki Confederacy to
form a political and military alliance with New France. The Confederacy remained significant military allies to New France
through six wars. Until the French and Indian War the Wabanaki Confederacy remained the dominant military force in the region..."

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Expulsion_of_the_Acadians

"The Expulsion of the Acadians, also known as the Great Upheaval, the Great Expulsion, the Great Deportation, and the Deportation of the Acadians (French: Le Grand Dérangement or Déportation des Acadiens), was the forced removal, by the British, of inhabitants of parts of a Canadian-American region historically known as Acadia, between 1755–1764. The area included the present-day Canadian Maritime provinces of Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, and Prince Edward Island, and the present-day U.S. state of Maine. The Expulsion, which caused the deaths of thousands of people, occurred during the French and Indian War (the North American theatre of the Seven Years' War)[c] and was part of the British military campaign against New France....

In the first wave of the expulsion, most Acadian exiles were assigned to rural communities in Massachusetts, Connecticut,
New York, Pennsylvania, Maryland and South Carolina. In general, they refused to stay where they were put and large numbers
migrated to the colonial port cities where they gathered in isolated, impoverished French-speaking Catholic neighbourhoods,
the sort of communities Britain's colonial officials tried to discourage...

Louisiana

The British did not directly deport Acadians to Louisiana. Following the expulsion by the British from their home, Acadians found their way to many friendly locales, including France. Acadians left France, under the influence of Henri Peyroux de la Coudreniere, to settle in Louisiana, which was then a colony of Spain..."

In the 60's a General Motors car called the Acadian, initially a Canadian version of the US Chevy II, then from 1964
based on the US Chevelle...and THEN in '66 back to Chevy II - based...

I like the model name "Canso" (a town on Cape Breton Island, in Nova Scotia); there was also an "Invader".. when you look into the history of the Acadian Expulsion in Maritime Canada, the name “Invader” seems a little inappropriate...

https://www.curbsideclassic.com/blog/cohort-outtake-why-its-an-acadian-canso-sport-obviously-along-with-some-other-canadian-pontiacs/

"When I was a kid, I stumbled into an Acadian in Iowa once, and I thought I was having some sort of mild seizure or epileptic attack. But…but…that’s…a Chevy II! Why does it have that strange split grille and all that weird badging? Acadian? Invader? Then I noticed the Canadian plates, and I eventually figured out that Canada does GM cars a bit differently. Here’s more proof of that.

What I saw was one of these earlier Acadians; a ’62 or ’63 Invader. The Acadian was obviously a Chevy II badge-engineered so
that Canada’s large Pontiac-Buick dealer group had a compact to sell, as the Pontiac Tempest was off-limits, due to restrictions of the
APTA agreements between the US and Canada. Since the Chevy II was made in canada (the Tempest wasn’t), the solution was…this...

And starting with 1964, the top of the line, analogous to the Nova, was called the Canso. And the Sport was obviously one half of
the Super Sport; the better half. I don’t know if the Canadian Cansos got the same wide engine palette as the US Chevy II did,
from the 153 four all the way to the 275hp 327...

A collection of Acadian brochures:

http://oldcarbrochures.com/static/Canada/Acadian/index.html

From 1962 brochure:

"Built by General Motors for Canadians who want moderate, but family - sized transportation, with ample room for six
adults... a car you can drive with pride and confidence - Acadian by General Motors...!!!"

Some people in the South are still resentful of how the "The War For State's Rights" went down. That's all I'm going to say about that. Here's the "thoughts" of an AI machine on the matter:

The phrase “The South will rise again” is a hopeful message that the southern states may one day regain their authority, integrity, power, and original culture. The phrase became a battle cry after the Confederacy lost the Civil War and the southern states rejoined the Union. The South was nearly destroyed culturally and economically, and took years to rebuild.
The phrase may have originated from an early version of a quote that Jefferson Davis used in 1873, which he borrowed from Thomas Carlyle: “Truth crushed to earth will rise again”.
Some say that the phrase means nothing today. Others say that it means that the southern states will come together and fight to own slaves once again.

Chicago residents speak out against amount of resources going to migrants

The Chicago City Council and Mayor Brandon Johnson heard Wednesday from Chicago residents upset about the influx of
migrants in their communities and the resources that have been allocated to assist them.

Chicago started moving some of the foreign nationals buses from the southern border to other communities throughout the city.
However, some believe not enough is being done to help those who've been lived in those neighborhoods for generations.

Last month the Chicago city council appropriated $51 million for migrant services. The money come from opioid and vaping
settlement funds. However, it is only expected to last a few months.

More than 10,000 migrants have arrived in Chicago over the past nine months from the southern border.

On Wednesday, residents of Chicago attended the meeting, and several used their time to speak out against the financial
resources for the migrants.

George Blakemore voiced his frustration with the handling of the situation by the city council.

"Can't you see what is going on here, with these illegal immigrants and our so-called elected officials who vote
against our interests," Blakemoore said. "We are not going to tell them [migrants] to go. Maybe some of you all need to go."

Last week, state Rep. La Shawn Ford, D-Chicago, said current city residents feel underserved.

"What people are feeling is that the people who have been in these neighborhoods for generations, they have been
treated inhumanely by the same government that is making efforts to provide good care to the asylum seekers,"
Ford told The Center Square.

Jessica Jackson told the council that she and others feel tricked by the handling of the migrant situation.

"In the words of Malcolm X, we have been hoodwinked, run amuck, bamboozled, by sitting here thinking that
these Black politicians are helping us," Jackson said.

Gov. J.B. Pritzker has sought the help of the federal government to provide resources for Chicago and the migrants, which includes jobs.

"I have been imploring the White House and the federal government to do two things. One is we need comprehensive i
mmigration reform," Pritzker said. "In the meantime, we ought to be allowing at least the asylum seekers that came here
in the latter half of last year to now get work permits. We have jobs available for them."

The state government will also provide $43 million in taxpayer funding to care for the migrants as a part of its fiscal 2024 budget...."

My guess is that the only thing you know about Hawaii is stuff you read on the Wikipedia 10 minutes ago. Mostly you're a poseur.
Oddly enough, the Wikipedia gets its name from the Hawaiian word "wiki-wiki." It means fast or quickly. Here's my AI friend to explain it to ya'alls:

WikiWiki is a Hawaiian word that means "speedy". It is a reduplication of the word "wiki", which comes from the Proto-Eastern Polynesian word *witi.
WikiWiki can also refer to:
A collection of hypertext documents that are collaboratively edited by users
A takeout restaurant in Honolulu, HI

They are blaming the asylum seekers??? That's rich. Bicycle theft was a
major problem in the Netherlands years before the massive wave of asylum
seekers.

She hurt your feelings Uncle Tojo. Shame on her.

Yes, there has always been much bicycle theft, but the asylum seekers
added a lot to the problem, apparently.

Crikey. A female who still thinks marriage is a guarantee of sex..

Of what good are dead warriors? … Warriors are those who desire battle
more than peace. Those who seek battle despite peace. Those who thump
their spears on the ground and talk of honor. Those who leap high the
battle dance and dream of glory … The good of dead warriors, Mother, is
that they are dead.

Is this your "nice", Hawaiian way of calling me a liar?

Name your book. We didn't have Google back then.

Hell, I don't know. I checked it out of the public library 54
years ago.

You missed your opportunity to Google books about Hawaiian history and
all you would have to do is check the publication dates to make sure it
was published that long ago. ;-)

You don't know a thing about the history, culture, or people, or overthrow, of Hawaii. That's quite alright, nobody expects you to. Mostly, you just Google stuff and then claim an expertise. That's shameful as well as lame. You don't know a thing about umami or Japanese mayo. All you got is Google so you're right about one thing - it's my polite way of calling you a liar. I don't mind you being a poseur, feel free to lie away. Just don't claim to be an expert on things and throw it in my face. Tell your lies to someone else.

We had a textbook on Hawaii made for the school kids back in the 60's. It would probably be a real hoot to read today. The part that fascinated me was a photo of the Pali Tunnel which was relatively new and which I traveled on frequently. It's the only thing I remember from that book.
Back in those days, the lessons we got in school about Hawaii and America were bright, shiny, and optimistic. We didn't get the real story until later. My guess is that your childhood lessons about where you lived in school were similar. I suppose it's probably better to keep the truth away from the kids until they're a little older - or is it?
