I have a DAK Industries Inc., Turbo Baker IV, model FAB2000IV. My nephew (by
marriage) knock it on the floor by accident and broke the glass top. I
understand that DAK is no longer in business. I am unable to find the
documentation and manual for the unit. I am trying to find out if there is
someplace that I can get another glass section for the breadmaker. I know that
sometimes manufactures give a list of places where their product can be
serviced. I was hoping someone could help me to find a place to get the needed
parts. I would appreciate any help I can get.

Yes, they have certainly gone under, however you can still get parts
and so forth and even rebuilt ones. Call DAK Gourmet Products at

(800) 656 BAKE.

David:

They are now known as DAK Gourmet Products
19749 Bahama Street
Northridge, CA 91324
1-800-656-BAKE (2253)

The toll-free number you can use to order as well as get a catalog (which
comes with a parts price-list). It looks like for the Turbo Baker IV,
the Glass Lid runs $29.00 and $6.00 P&H --- that is based on the list
that came with the catalog I got this summer.

Good luck!!

Call DAK Gourmet Products at 800-656-2253. They'll have the parts you
need. They sent me a parts list a few months ago that listed all of the
replaceable parts for the DAK Turbo bakers.

Allow me to point out before PLONKING mahemp... this is exactly what
dsl1's "Google Groups" are good for. Dredging up posts from 1996. Hope
this person doesn't expect to get an answer, although I do vaguely
remember a David Ross. Heh.

DAK, Drew A Kaplan, went out of business in 1994 but he did sell a lot
of bread machines.

DAK sold a lot of other products, too, as I recall.

Yes. I still use an X10 programmable light controller I bought from DAK
back in the 1980s. They had a lot of electronics and stereo stuff.

Sorry, I don't own Google Groups. I've never dredged old topics from the past although I can't say that I wouldn't ever do it. I don't have any problem with someone doing it though. Yoose guys would probably do it too but yoose Usenet servers don't have the moxie to archive posts more than a couple of months. What's so great about that?
