You asked earlier but in the interests of science research I waited
until I'd timed it

My pepper grinder can fill a teaspoon in 9 seconds.

That's just not good enough. I need 8 seconds max.

If you use a coffee grinder whether it is a burr grinder or a bladed
grinder you will always have a electric pepper grinder. And one that
is serious about coffee will always have a coffee grinder.

I am VERY serious about my coffee, but I only have one 1940's Kitchen Aid "Coffee Mill" I bought off Ebay and of course a cheap coffee slicer as backup.

Thank you for clocking it. Now I have to remind myself how big a
teaspoon is by looking at one.... ;-) (I don't measure often)

My 1040's KitchenAid (Hobart's home brand) coffee mill is a burr grinder. My coffee slicer is bladed.

I KNOW what the hell I'm doing with coffee, believe me! Mixers, blenders, etc too! All FOOD PROCESSORS! Think about it! ;-) In fact cooking IS a food process!

Ahh ok that is a bladed grinder vs. I guess you other is a burr
grinder. I have a bladed grinder. They are pretty much the same except
a burr grinder has a much higher chance of heating up and burning the
coffee.

No, it was made in Ohio. It's cast into the base!

I just wish I could get replacement grinding burrs! The originals do OK, but new ones would rip through coffee beans!

Timing a pepper grinder is a bit silly to me too.
How long to fill a teaspoon? splat
