Fillet of sole. The sole gets a very simple treatment. Dredged in
seasoned flour, egg wash and then in seasoned dry breadcrumbs. Pan
fried in a butter with some olive oil until nicely browned and crisp
outside yet very moist and flaky inside. Topped with a squeeze of fresh
lemon juice. The side dishes are roasted garlic & olive oil couscous
and steamed asparagus. A very nice meal! :)

Anything cooking at your house tonight?

We had wild salmon. It was cooked on the BBQ grill and served with
little roasted potatoes, boiled fresh beans and a green salad.

I bought a small cheese log that was rolled in sliced almonds. Not bad.
Also some Oreo cookies.

I was out running an errand so on the way home I stopped at a local
weekend food truck. Choo Choo BBQ. Got the pulled pork platter with
beans and coleslaw. It is huge for $10, have half for tomorrow night.

Isn't this what the deplorables eat in the US South?

Do they serve blacks there?

Not cooking, but I had fish, too.

Canned tuna mixed with minced parsley, scallion tops, and lemon zest.
Left that to marinate a short while as I prepared a salad of romaine
and celery leaves, with cucumber, grape tomatoes, and Castelvetrano
olives composed on top. Added the tuna, then dressed it all with
a lemon vinagrette that used a little of the olive oil from the tuna
can. S&P, of course.

No bread. I had a double ration at lunch: whole wheat pita bread
with tzatziki.

LOL Ed. It's so amusing to watch Bruce trying to make assumptions about
the US. Does he still think there are no blacks allowed to sit at the
lunch counter? Black people can't drink from the white people water
fountain? Must sit at the back of the bus? It's not 1868. Nor is it
1968. Bruce is against eating meat so he turned the pulled pork
sandwich into a racial thing. :(

That wasn't a Bruce post, that was a forged post. You and Ed both
missed it.

You're describing Leo's ideal world ('68 Republicans). That has
nothing to do with me.

It was Greg Sorrow, dearie.

Yes, I did, but the reply would have been the same. Barbacoa aside, BBQ
has its origins in the south when black people got only the scraps and
tough cuts of meat. They learned how to make some great food from it.

Deplorables, liberals, democrats, republicans, fascists, independents, all
eat barbecue. It crosses all political parties and is enjoyed by the masses.

Blacks have some of the very best barbecue joints around!!

Yes, but an expertly done imitation of the master ass sniffer.

Can't fault someone for mistaking it as genuine.

And how many HUNDREDS of times did Miss Bwuthie forge Officer Dave back then, Sire Hank...???

Officer Dave even called out all the members of the RCMP to "control" the sitch - but all to no avail...!!!

It's the biggest mental meltdown Miss Bwuthie had since her mum finally took her dolls away from her when she was 17, lol...

It is the action of desperate people. rfc is a repository for the desperately lonely/needy.

Me too! After spoiling my wife with posole, shrimp bisque and beef
tenderloin steaks for the previous three nights, last night we had tuna
sandwiches and Campbell's soup. Tonight will be those Nathan's
thingamajigs that I mentioned in a previous post. :)
Well...not "Me too!" Your tuna rendition sounds way fancier.
