We've always heard that the eyes are windows to the soul.

Most people on TV have fairly normal eyes with two
exceptions that I've noticed.

Donald Trump has squinty eyes and comes across as a
sneaky person. He rarely looks directly at the camera,
and he always has a frown on his face.

But then there is Biden. I watched an interview with
him the other day. His eyes are scary to me. He looks
directly to the camera but his eyes are almost black
and very dead, empty looking - like there is no soul inside.

I think I even saw a movie about aliens or something
once with those same dead, empty eyes.

This is not a political preference observation either.
I like Biden well enough but his eyes creep me out.

Check out the eyes of both next time you watch the news.

Hey Gary, remember that late 80's movie "They Live", this reminds me of that...

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/They_Live

"They Live is a 1988 American science-fiction action horror film written and directed by John Carpenter, based on the 1963 short story "Eight O'Clock in the Morning" by Ray Nelson, and starring Roddy Piper, Keith David, and Meg Foster. It follows an unnamed drifter who discovers through special sunglasses that the ruling class are aliens concealing their appearance and manipulating people to spend money, breed, and accept the status quo with subliminal messages in mass media..."

I don't watch the news, but I just looked at Joe Biden's eyes,
both in videos and still images.

They look like eyes.

You should have seen him the night he had a subconjunctival hemorrhage
during a CNN town hall. It looks really creepy, but my husband gets
those a few times a year so I'm used it.

Trumps eyes look squinty because there isn't much space between
his droopy eyelids and the bags under his eyes.

Eyes are really not the window to the soul. They're just eyes.

My dad was very good at reading people, I hope to be as good as he was. The most important part of reading people is knowing what tricks manipulative persons use so you can avoid them. Well, that's my opinion anyway.

I know what you're talking about in regards to Mr. Biden. That's an unfortunate result of the structure of his eyelids. At least he doesn't have sleepy pot eyes. Then everybody would think he's a screw up and only suitable for stand up comedy.

Lots of elderly men have creepy eyes... elderly women not so much
because they use eye make up, even so Pelosi has the scariest eyes.

When looking into your eyes, Popeye, most folks just see pure shit.
Deep, nasty, purulent, disgusting shit. Shit they don't even want
to get on their shoe soles.

If they stepped on you, they would burn their shoes as soon as
possible.

Not scary. I call her "owl eyes" like she keeps them
open a bit more than normal. She always appears as
stunned or surprised and maybe innocent looking.

She doesn't fool me though. She hates Trump personally

On the other side, I suspect there might be a certain percentage
of Democrats that also don't approve of their constant witch
hunt against an elected president.

Time will tell.

Recent polling indicates only 7% of Democrats approve of Trump's job
performance.

necessarily predict their vote.

The question is whether Trump will be able to fool voters into
thinking he handled the corona crisis well. Or if he'll be able to
pretend it was an act of war and get that rally around the flag effect
going. He's been trying that by bringing up Pearl Harbor and 9/11, and
by vilifying the Chinese.

How gullible are voters?

This is a retweet by pianist Marc-André Hamelin from this morning:

2 Americans died of Ebola: They said Barack Obama should resign.

4 Americans died in Benghazi: They had Hillary Clinton testify for 11
hours, held 33 hearings, and launched a multiyear probe.

Donald Trump *might* come in at less than 250,000 Americans dead: They
cheer.

The rumor is that Mr. Obama is building a humble home in Hawaii. Somebody bought the property made famous in the TV series "Magnum P.I." The place was demolished and a new estate is being built. My guess is that, if true, the place will be called "Obama's Nest."

In your itty-bitty population whole country, comparable to California in
people, a quick google shows 5000 deaths. California is clocking in at
around 2800. What a bumbling fool your P.M. is. You ought to dump him,
because he’s a joke and so is your health care system. It’s obvious.
Or I might be wrong. Google the current stats for California and Canada and
prove it. Start with population and deaths. Your country is a death trap.
Way to go, Trudeau!
Or, and this will be tough for you, quit laying blame on one person for a
lack of societal understanding and preparedness for a six month old, never
before encountered, viral killer.
Think “War for This World” and quit bitching.

Corona deaths in Canada per 1 million population: 132
Corona deaths in Australia per 1 million population: 4 and stable

Good attempt child! Unfortunately, you’re too young to see very much
clearly. It’s a matter of growing up. You’ll get there! I have faith in

It would appear that 2% of voters get their news exclusively from Fox.

<https://www.dataforprogress.org/blog/2019/3/23/the-fox-news-bubble>

About 150 million people are registered to vote in the U.S. If
dataforprogress.org used good sampling methods, then about 3 million
people get their news exclusively from Fox.

34% of voters "get their news from Fox", which probably means it's their
main source, but not their only source.

It might be that after a second and third wave of deaths, we'll all say "screw it." It might be that all our resistance to this disease won't work and we'll just have to live and die with it.

My guess is that we're going to have to change our health care system to handle the long term respiratory problems cause by the lung damage that covid-19 will leave in its wake.

It might be a good time for this rock to annex from the US and stop all people from entering Hawaii. We can send all the people that have tested positive for the disease to Molokai. We know how to handle this folks!

Yes, like Johnson in the UK first underestimated it, then got COVID-19
himself it and then changed his tune. Some people need to feel it

The only time I've watched Fox was during one of the earlier
Trump speeches about the corona thing, followed by the Q&A
part with reporters.

One by one, the others news cut it short and went back to
normal programming. Kudos to CNN that kept going for a
good while longer but then even they cut it short.

Only FOX news continued until the end of the news conference.

My problem with Fox news is that it doesn't show a normal
news program. It's only talk shows commenting on the
current politics with "experts" analyzing it all.

I like to hear the actual news. I don't need any "expert"
explaining it to me with their own biased twist.
