In the PBS TV listings yesterday I saw Cooks Country, America's Test
Kitchen and Lidia's Kitchen yesterday, Saturday afternoon. Some were
re-runs from a couple of years ago but others were from 2023 and new to
me. Not all PBS stations air the same programs at the same time. Just
saying. :)

PBS here has four channels, but I only got to see them when I went with streaming
tv. The second channel will air original programs aired a few days earlier on the
main channel. But once a week it airs live hearings of the state legislature. The
third channel is nothing but children's programming and the fourth channel is all
cooking shows. Some of the shows coming on are through the Create network.
Learning how to harvest and cook cattails held no appeal to me.

I saw them all too, but they may have been different. I watched one of
the blond ladies on America's Test Kitchen make a "Yule Log", which if I
made it, I'd charge $100 a slice for.
First, I'd have to go to culinary school.

Yeah, I skipped over that (old) episode. Even if I was interested in
"holiday" desserts, it's August fer cryin' out loud. :)

My friend makes a great Yule log. It;s quite the process to make the
cake and roll it up. It's darned tasty, but it is not the sort of thing
I would go to that much work for because, as good as it is, it is still
cake and I am just not that much into cake.
