Amazon just stopped by. Trying this new and difficult pic posting.
It seems I have accounts to pick from that do not align.
Keeping at it...

I just post pictures there and never signed up for an account.

There's nothing difficult about the Postimages site and I've never
signed up for an account with them, either. Those are some nice shiny
measuring cups, though. I wouldn't have much need for them.

Perhaps you need to buy a support contract, too.

I did make an account, simply because it's convenient to go back and
find pictures that I've prior uploaded (all in one place) if I want to
share them again instead of uploading. Plus, it's free.

Do you also only measure by the gallon like Popeye? ;)

I only have dinky plastic measuring cups here, other than the glass
Pyrex liquid measure. I need to find a nice set of metal cups like those.

I save them to my computer, no need for an online photo hosting site to
store them for me. Many years ago I had an account with an image
hosting site. Webshots. One day they announced they were going out of
business, couldn't keep hosting photos for free. I got there just in
time to d/l all of my stored with them pics and burn them to a DVD
before the site shut down. I don't trust any of these free sites to
continue to maintain things like this forever.

I don't have a need for measuring cups that also act as scoops. I have
Pyrex glass measuring cups in graduated sizes; I rarely need to use
anything else.

When I upload a picture I copy the link and paste it into the Windows
File Properties "Details -> Comments" field. Then I don't even have to
use the web to repost the picture. Just open up the "Details" tab and paste
the link into whatever I'm doing. Searching for pictures on most any photo
site takes longer than just to re-upload.

"Hey Sqwertz, that's a great idea!"

I know. You're welcome.

My Tupperware plastic nesting measuring cups are 60 years old. They work
just as well as shiny new metal ones.

It's not very smart to trust a picture hosting site as your only copy.
Not just as your only backup, but as your only copy altogether.

Here's an interesting product that I found in Costco yesterday. It sold for $35. The box says "Made in USA."

LOL.

Curious minds want to know, were the nest-builders American swallows,
or some illegal migrants who sneaked over the border?

I had the same issue with Photobucket. They shut down free photo
hosting; I used to use them for hosting photos on a forum, similar to
what we use postimg for here. I still keep a copy of pictures on my
computer, of course, but it's nice to have a quick reference of photos
that I've already uploaded... I can just copy the link from the account
to share a photo again, rather than upload it again.

I was joking that you "didn't have a need for measuring cups" like
Sheldon. Those scoop type are very convenient for dry measure, in my
opinion. The pyrex 2 cup units (I have a 2 cup and a 1 cup pyrex) are
best for liquid measure.

That is a good idea, I'll try to remember.

Meh, mine are just new Chinese ones from a year or two ago when I bought
my house. Most of my stuff is from an antique shop or flea market, but
measuring cups still sell pretty quickly.

You nailed it. The other day I made chicken-fried pork. I wish the crust
was browner. I smothered the meat and potatoes in more gravy after the pic.

I use the glass pyrex cups equally for both liquid and dry measurements.
I have a 1 cup, a 2 cup and a four cup glass measure.

I have those too but also a set from 1/4 to 1 cup. Different tool for
different uses. For years we had the same set of nesting plastic cups
but recently, the 1 cup went missing so I bought a new set of stainless
steel.

You need more than one for some jobs.

Pyrex used daily on right, my coffee pyrex on left.
I assume the right is what everyone is talking about.
The left fits the coffee decor including the stir spoon inside.

We use our Pyrex measuring cups all the time too.
I use them to cook beans and rice in the electric
pressure cooker. I don't use Pyrex or my pyroceram
Corningware on the stovetop, but for everything else
they're great. When we retire I'll sell my Corningware.
I sold a couple of old snow saucers this evening on
FB Marketplace, and got $25 for things I'll never use
again. I'm not a hoarder, but I have accumulated
stuff that was too good to throw away, and I'm going
to start selling it off.

Maybe you can find someone in your city that cooks lots of beans and rice.

"That's it" - thank you, a nicely edited version of my thoughts. I drove cab for 33 years and went a lot of places many drivers avoided. I was sort of forced into it - too many drivers hanging around the 'good spots' - but I believe I was also drawn to the danger of it. It was like going to a movie. I'd be in the middle of a lot of ugly shit going down but had the gas pedal and brake as well as my eyes to bail me out. I used to pick up lots of street dealers, guys just trying to make it through the day - very competitive out there selling dope - and I swear some of these guys used their brain more in one night than the average lawyer or doctor does in a year. Not that a person has to be intelligent to hold a lawyer or doctor position, although that's the image society presents. I am working on a series of new intelligence tests as we speak. Could be a few years before we’re ready to put them to use. The tests will be tough - real life situations where we release people into the wilds before hunting them down with bows and arrows and other crude stuff. Survival is the biggest intelligence test of all. Until you start to die for real. Then the biggest intelligence test is how you handle the transition. Will it be smooth or rocky? I can't speak for you, but I will pass that test for sure. I am ready for whatever comes next.
