I was basically the Accucheck and Insulin Nurse today! Lotta of finger sticks and insulin pens, only one old fashioned syringe!

And I worked about 15.5 hours too! IN ONE DAY!! :-)

It passes quickly when you're busy, doesn't it?

Glad to hear you are working. I guess, given your duty, you were a real
prick today.

Ed, you've hardly made your comeback and you're already looking for a
fight again?

Well, when one is a nurse, one's GOTTA do the JOB! And the JOB of a nurse is serious business!

Funny how all the RFCers who were REALLY down on me when I was NOT working are mostly all of a sudden "nice" to me because I AM working and earning $$! ROFL! Really shows me a lot about what kinds PEOPLE you all are! Mammon Worshiping SCUM!

I am so proud of you! Insulin nurses are very important.

What do accucheck nurses do? Are they important too?

Don't work too much overtime. It can make you become tired and not
do a good job.

Contrary to the beliefs of some people on this newsgroup, nurses have to know how to make calculations. It's an important part of their jobs. My wife is pretty careful when she's a med nurse. She finds that some of the staff don't know what the hell they're doing. That's not good. One nurse was off on a dosage by several decimal points i.e., she was going to administer 1000X the dose that was required.

Exactly! And 1000x the dose of some powerful drug like insulin COULD kill a person!

That was a play on words.

Prick: make a small hole in (something) with a sharp point; pierce slightly.

Since you can't even easily calculate your weekly work hours, you SHOULD NOT be trusted to calculate dosages, let alone be allowed to work in a health care position...

Maybe you could empty bedpans, but that is about all you should be trusted with...

Nurses need be precise, they need to know how to make 'mathematical'
calulations... Kootchie is already an expert in calculating
alibis/excuses.

My last Navy job was a Communications Watch officer. Technically a 12
hour shift but turnover would take 1 hour so it was really 13. The
CWOs would generally show up early, which I did because I was slower to
take turnover but most would show early at least for the night shift.

Our rotation was 2 night shifts, day off, then 2 day shifts, then 3
days off then 2 nights and so on. Complete train wreak of your
sleeping schedule. It was thougt of as '4 days off' but really, in the
last 'day off' you had the night shift.

John, most of us have always wished you well. I have not changed in
that. Ypu however have been making posts that are more sensible to
reply to lately, so maybe that is it?
