People are fighting GMO foods but we've been toying and cross breeding
for centuries. Take a look at a few here

Probably because they're what I'm used to seeing, but the modern versions
look more appealing to me.

Natural selection and genetic modification are two completely
different things.

But many of our foods are beyond natural selection. Cross breeding,
grafting and especially some of the hybrids are just a notch below GMO.
If we went 100% natural many of our grown foods would never exist.

Genetic modification is in another league. Grafting doesn't threaten
biodiversity, GM does. To mention just one thing.

conflating normally cross-bred plants or animals with
GMO is either ignorant or dishonest.

> We would all starve without GMO foods...

that's a load of crap.

Yes! (I'm hoping ignorant.)

Yes. I read a very good book about the nutritional value of fruits and
vegetables. In a nutshell, the ones with the most nutrition are not the
prettiest and tastiest ones.

My brother tried to get me to eat a weird, huge apple. He said it wasn't GMO
but it was made to be super sweet and once cut open, it would never brown.
No thanks!

Druce, what about when you mistake someone's ass for a leaky dike
and stick your finger in it? You do that a lot!

That's interesting. The mother of all our chili peppers in the Americas is the chile tepin. They are tiny things. My dream is to have some of the plants growing on this rock. I've got some seed germinating on the window.

I bought some half a year ago. They never came up. The supplier said
"They're wild so they're not as predictable as normal". Well, they
were very predictable since all of them never came up. I'll try again
next season.

Put them in a baggie with soil and some water and seal. Wait.

I've tried all the ways I could think of. Nothing. It's no biggie
because I have plenty of chilli's, but I was curious about this one.
Next time I'll buy them somewhere else.

Not all of us. Plenty of us didn't starve before GMO foods.

If they are very predictable, why are you trying again?

I think the supplier sold me very old seeds. I only spent a couple of
dollars. I can afford to try again with another supplier.

Compare Pommelos to grapefruit and the Aurochs, a fearsome beast that
stood 6 feet high at the shoulder, with modern day cattle.

If it wasn't for the invention of nitrogen fertilizers, most of us wouldn't exist. Well, that's what people say.
