The Other Sister
Very touching movie!
Enjoyed very much.

Comcast gave me a complimentary year's digitalo TV and free premium channel
Starz. I'm probably watching too much TV now.

Andy, have you seen "Henry Poole was Here"? That was another nice one. We
started watching "The Visitor" last night, but I got too tired to finish it.
I'll watch the rest today.

Ah, well, just less time on Usenet. :~)

I dunno, Andy...sounds like a chick flick to me. :)

I disagree. You'll have to watch it too!
Andy
I'm fixin' to watch "Speed" for the first time here shortly. Been
cooking all morning. :-)
Made some italian sausage and cabbage with onions, celery, carrots and
garlic to hold dad over until I can get his next batch of jelly loaf
made tomorrow, (the meat and veggies for that is cooling, the jelled
stock is done and ready to be defatted) and earlier for myself, I
re-cooked/steamed some underdone beef ribs I roasted earlier in the
week. NOW they are done! Yeesh.
But those are for tomorrow when they cool a bit.
I ate some marinated lean round steak raw to boost my low iron levels
for brunch. Just give me an excuse to eat raw lean beef. <g>. Yum!
Now I need to get some phoenix claws out to thaw to cook tomorrow...

They should have given you a shotgun with a rod that reaches the trigger.

No, I will not.
<popping "Porky's" into the DVD player>
Watching movies that early in the morning? Andy, you need to get a life.
I only watch movies late on weekend nights during the winter...usually with
a drink at hand. In fact it's the *only* way I can even watch a film
noir...
And I thought "Andy" was more the _Romper Room_ or _Sesame Street_ type
anyways...

When I retired 4 years ago I promised myself that if I found myself
sitting around watching television I would go out and get another job,
and I have managed to avoid day time TV. I have watched the news a few
times and the odd movie on wet, stormy days.

I don't think those programs are on that early.

Great movie.
I'm cooking navy beans at the moment.
The Cable Guy
What a twisted flick!!!

In response to one of the threads filled with crossposts and trolls, I
finally watched http://www.zeitgeistmovie.com/main.htm Scary stuff!
If even part of it is true, we really *are* a nation of sheep.

Different for sure. <g>
Reminds me a lot of Matrix 3.
Lots of action!

Just finished the jelly loaf (It's mostly pork this week with a chicken
foot stock topping) and I stuck the roasted rib bones in the freezer for
stock. The upside to having had to cook them twice was I now have about
3 quarts of REALLY good roasted beef stock. :-)
It's french onion soup next weekend...
I'll take 2 each of purple, white and yellow onions and saute' them in
some butter and olive oil, then add the stock to that after I cook it
down a bit. Right now it's frozen.
Serve that with croutons and grated cheese. ;-d
