This is what is needed to achieve herd immunity.

So was the black death, so was the Spanish flu. So was Ebola.

If that number is anything near accurate then that would mean that
florida is going to be one of the first states to start to see
improvement fastest. That may not happen until that 33% hits at about
66%. At which point you will start to see a lot of the idiot media
saying things like "another milestone reached." I thought it was so
funny when the idiot media started saying we have reached another
milestone with record deaths or whatever because a milestone is
something you are aiming for, it is a goal, it is something you want
to see. Hence "we reached another milestone" Damn the media is so
incredibly stupid!!!

A milestone is just the old fashioned version of one of these. https://beyondthepulpitmabc.files.wordpress.com/2013/05/i64milemarker.jpg

It is the media and the politics that is extreme.

it might be sooner than 66%, since there is some indication that perhaps
40% pf the population have some sort of immunity, likely due to having a
similar corona virus in the past.

40%? Do you have a source for that, other than Trump?

I am aware of what a milestone is. Point is it is a goal a person is
trying to reach.

I didn't hear Trump say it, and I have heard other numbers. 40% sounds
a bit high, but it is anybody's guess. But it is surely greater than zero.

I've heard numbers between 3% and 7% based on representative blood
bank samples. Sweden with their relaxed and deadly approach had 7%. So
much for herd immunity. That was 2 months or so ago, though.

I assume that these aren't random people being tested but people that have been screened beforehand i.e., they have symptoms or have been exposed to the virus. Mostly, that's just some fake Fox news - anything to get some ratings numbers.

The number of deaths won't be much but unfortunately, it appears that a lot of people will be left with long-term respiratory, heart, and neurological, problems. My guess is that these long term effects might change the way medical care is practiced in the US.
