I saw that a while back and it works!

I just keep forgetting to peel my bananas like a monkey (or an ape!)

I've always put a small cut just under the top of the Banana, just just
strip it, and it works fine...But if no knife available, this sounds a good
method to use....I hate having to bite into the neck of the Banana, and it
still is too soft to puncture the skin sometimes!

Ahhh, no. Not for me. I bite it to break the skin if it's
uncooperative.

That's what my SIL must have seen. We had breakfast
together and she piped up with this peeling a banana
like a monkey would. So funny.

A few days later I emailed my brother, tell Lisa I'm
peeling my bananas monkey-style. He said I'll pass it
along but I don't want to know any more about it. (laugh)

Love it! I go for a seam if I have trouble the other way, but it
requires a fingernail. This was seems easier. Can't wait to try it.
Ate the last banana yesterday. Darn!

Two observations:
1. This method is really only necessary if the banana isn't quite
ripe. A truly ripe banana should peel just as easily from either end.

2. If you start getting a "This video is currently unavailable" nag on
YouTube (as I did the first time I clicked on the link), turn *off*
ActiveX filtering in Internet Explorer. That however will probably
bring the "An add-on for this website failed to run" nag back.

Sorry about the spelling. I hit the wrong key to chose from spell
checker suggestions.

Spell checker is totally wasted on this Silverton monkey.

Are you serious? Maybe you should get a gym membership and start working
out. It is not that challenging to peel a banana even from the stem end.

LOL.... that is the other thing about monkey food handling that grossed
me out. When I walked into the monkey's room I would almost catch him
choking his little chicken. Maybe he thought that he could gross me out
enough to forget I caught him playing with himself if he wiped his furry
little ass with his fingers and then smelled them before handling his food.

After several years of feeding and cleaning up after that monkey I
developed a strong dislike for those creatures. I have been to zoos
several times since then but I don't bother checking out the tree
swinging perverts. For the life of me, I would not trust a monkey.

That occurred to me too, but then I couldn't guess what might have
triggered it.

In that case, you're disqualified from handing out organ-grinder
permits.

Ugh, I've heard that about monkeys. I think they had a tough
time filming Friends around that little monkey's hobby.

I think even the smallest one could hurt you without hardly trying,
just to top it off. So I guess you're not planning on seeing the
new movie, Chimpanzee?

Only if I catch wind of a spoiler about how one of them reinforces my
view about primates and rips off Jane Goodall's face.
Seriously, I cringe when I see monkeys. I have a similar view about the
big cats. They are magnificent looking creatures and, being pack animals
and felines, they do have a loving and playful nature, but they can turn
on you and rip you to shreds in the blink of an eye.
