Yes, it is stage 4 (almost did it again), of one of the deadliest
cancers out there.

But... who knows. I met a woman just about a year ago. She was dating a
friend of mine. A couple weeks later she was diagnosed with liver and
pancreatic cancer and was told she had about 2 months to live. I was
talking to him today and he said she is in palliative care and has only
a couple weeks.

kid coming home from school i would watch a

episodes of Jeopardy in my life. i don't
know why. might have been ill and didn't
feel like changing the channel or turning
it off (back then that meant actually

Nailed it only 16 minutes after I posted.

Final answer is: Hot Pockets - Chicken, broccoli and cheese.
Using same ingredients, they also sell Lean version and
a crossant version.

I had a pic to send of the Box label but uploads won't work
today.

Jill mentioned the "ham and cheese" ones. I do remember that they
were better than average.

Plan to make my own soon. Good for a quick late night snack. Hot
Pockets have either cheapened way down or maybe just my older
tastes have changed. Probably a combination of both but I won't
buy them again.

My guess is that you didn't put near enough sugar in the filling. You have to remember to add sugar to the crust too. I probably could make something the kids would like. It would glisten with sugar crystals. They would be mesmerized by the crystals - you'd think it was fairy dust. :)

You need to get out more often. Combo of chicken broccoli and
cheese goes well together. Also, ever hear of beef and broccoli?
That's very good over rice or egg noodles. Probably good in a pie

I know what you mean about the Chinese way of cooking broccoli. I don't mind it though. I'm used to it that way. If I stir fry broccoli, it's going to be pretty crunchy. If I microwave broccoli, it'll probably be more to your liking. I like to microwave the shit out of broccoli. :)

while you cook your chicken or beef...throw in you already prepared
sauce along with your pre-nuked veggies toss it to spread the

I like to cook fast... and besides the microwave will allow the food
to retain much more nutrients. I do broccoli, carrots, cauliflower,
asparagus and pretty much any veg you would steam in the microwave for
just a couple of minutes....

If you have a microwave and an airfryer then you can cook anything
faster and healthier than using a stove and an oven....

But yes I remember the good old days back when I used a wok and
regular pots and pans. It was enjoyable. Wow that feels like it was so
so long ago, I mean all of the 8 months could have been 8 years.

I have cooked broccoli in the microwave and also steamed and stir-fried it. If I don't have much time, the microwave works fine. OTOH, it must get awfully depressing to cook stuff the same way all the time. I'd probably just have to quit cooking. One has to be discovering new things in order to keep things fresh and alive.

This broccoli was cooked in the microwave because it was made at 9:30 in the evening and it had to be ready for my wife to take to work. The broccoli came out fine:

It may be that woks were a fad on the mainland but I've had a wok since the 70's. These days, I've been cooking a lot with a carbon steel pan. Ironically, the pan is quite similar to my wok.

I never said that carbon steel pans are identical to cast iron pans. I pointed out several important differences between carbon steel and cast iron. What I did say was that the cooking surface of the pan was similar to cast iron. If you can get one single factoid into that thick skull of yours, that would be the one you should make a feeble attempt at.

You would be quite wrong there. I will admit that I was raised on over
cooked broccoli, which is probably why I never liked it much. I usually
steam it only long enough to bring out the colour and it will still be a
little crunchy, or it will be the last vegetable thrown into a stir fry.

I used to love Chinese food and assumed that I would like Thai because
of their geographical and cultural similarities. I found the food to be
quite different. I really like Thai food. There were no Vietnamese
places around here until just a few years ago. I did expect them to be
similar, and again it was because of their geographical similarities. I
was really looking forward to it. When I finally ate it one I was really
disappointed to find how different they are. It was suggested that the
reason was that the place we went just wasn't very good. I tried another
on and it was a little better, and a third that was much better, but
still nothing like Thai food, and nowhere near as good as Thai.

There is some irony to your suggestions about how all white people like
or dislike certain things while. Heaven forbid it should be you who is
full of prejudice and bias.

I never say "all." When I say that Haoles like to cook their broccoli all to hell, I don't mean every single ding-dang one of them only an idiot would believe that. This does not mean that all Chinese folks undercook their broccoli either. That's just a stupid rfc ploy that the usual suspect like to use. My remarks are also directed at Americans because I don't know a damn thing about Canadian eating habits. If I was to take a guess, I'd say that Canadians eat their broccoli raw and while it's frozen solid.

I don't believe that I'm full of prejudice and bias. Mostly I state the truth. If I said that Chinese cooked broccoli was superior to haole cooked broccoli, then you might be able to yell out "prejudice!" or "unfair!" Any bias you see is a fantasy on your part. You take things too literally. This is fairly common with people that have an autistic spectrum disorder. I don't have anything against people that have this nor do I think it's much of a disorder but I'm not going to change my writing style to suit individuals.

Your neurological disposition probably suits your job. My father-in-law had it and he was a great computer programmer. My mom might have had it, I might have had it too. My son definitely has it. I removed him from school because that institution was clueless about how to handle him. That was a radical move but I did what I had to do.

My guess is that it would be more helpful to study how most neurotypicals communicate instead of trying to get me to change my writing into the style of technical manuals. :)

Commnication here would improve vastly if people would make the effort
to reread and correct their asinine typos/ommissions before sending.

I know I make typos and spelling errors, I don't use spell check nor
do I always take the time to check a dictionary, however those
spelling errors in no way confused my message.... and I poiposely use
yoose... RFC posts are not legal contracts, but when posters are
arguing some picayune point accuracy stems the confusion... some seem
to ALWAYS omit woids that result in gibberish.

a funeral on Lung Guyland... a sad story... her son's wife and her

last week a stroke took him. Now the poor woman is all alone in the
world, fortunately she has been active in her church so they are
looking in on her. Her husband died of a heart attack some 25 years
ago. My wife's son checks in her often too, after all he was married
to her daughter and they got along great... they both took a
tremendous loss, a wife and daughter all at once, and the sister too.
The sisters had some sort of rare cancer that the best NYC hospitals
couldn't help.

Anyone with hate and meanness put it away, life is too short.
