Umm...
"Fanny" in US English, doesn't mean what it does in some other
English-speaking countries.

American fannies are in the back.

In America, men and women can have fannies. In the UK, only women have fannies. Things are different in the UK.

Funny how the same words in the same language can have entirely
different meanings in different countries. A friend had cousins in
Australia and when the came here to visit her she bought the skits name
brand sweatshirts. The kids sort of smirked and the parents had trouble
masking their reaction. While Roots clothing was a hot fad here the word
means something completely in Australia.

And [ObFood], Fannie Farmer! American spelling doesn't make it sound
better to others of the "English" persuasion.
Good Lord, I just looked up "Fanny Adams"!

I think it's pretty universally known that "fanny" also means "behind".
I never understood why "fanny packs" are worn on the front, Lol.

When you say "universally", you're probably referring to the US.

I've seen them worn on the front, either side, and the back. When I'm
riding my bike, I turn mine around to rest in the small of my back.

I've never worn one but I do keep one tied below my bike seat. Handy to
use when biking for small items. A bike bag.

Not universal.
In the UK, 'fanny' does not mean behind.
A UK fanny is in front, and only females have them.

I was wondering what "universally" meant to Michael. He probably
thinks that the existence of other countries is a rumour spread by
communists.

I've got one pannier but it's rather narrow, so it does limit shopping. I've recently
bought a red milk crate to use if I should need to make a grocery run for more
than two or three things.

Not my bike but I do have this exact pannier.

Oh crap. Saturday night already. Almost nappy time.
Is there a reason to not have a crappy 15 buck an hour job all week and use the weekend job for mad-money?
