The company Now Foods also makes shampoo, but I'm not about to serve that

You should note, your vial also says "please consult an essential oil book
or other professional reference source for suggested dilution ratios".
Below that, "use with care". Below that, in the "caution" box, "Not for
internal use".
Further, that they list jojoba oil as a carrier oil should also be a clue,
as jojoba, although edible, is not digestible.
You may be right that you won't die from it, but if you want clove
flavoring oil, why not buy that instead?
