I just watched an antiquated episode (circa 1984) of Johnny Carson doing
his Tonight Show monologue. He made a joke about the McDonald's in
Beverly Hills, CA. He said they serve escargot. They're called McSlugs. :)

I don't get it but that's not important. What is is that their Mighty
Wings are mighty fine. These meaty wings are as beautiful as any chicken
wing that I've ever seen. They ain't all scrawny and tough and they have
a lot of heat to them. I can hardly believe they make 'em that spicy.
Anyway, McDonald's is having some trouble selling off these wings and
they're looking to ditch some 10 million pounds of the stuff. I'm doing
my part to get rid of the surplus. My guess is that once they're gone,
we'll never see another beautiful McWing again. Tragic.

Didn't even know they existed, but these articles cover why they
aren't a raging success.

I think this ones been told here. I found it to be quite funny.
Lucille Ball goes into a restaurant and orders escargot. When her food arrives she becomes irate and tells the waiter: 'There are snails in my food'!

Let's face it, most people don't like the idea of gnawing on a bone for
some meat. It's kind of a savage, animalistic, thing to do but I'm hooked.

All I know is that it's tough for a chicken wing lover to get a fix. I
could go into a big mall theme restaurant and order some that that's
going to be pricy. The Vietnamese restaurant down the street makes some
but it's going to cost me ten bucks and they're from some pretty scrawny
chickens. The McDonald's Mighty Wings come from actual mighty chickens.
If you want some spicy chicken wings fast and with little fuss without
paying 10 bucks, Mighty Wings are the only game in town. Unfortunately,
for wing lovers, this deal is going down fast and probably won't return
in our lifetime.

See those nuggets? is it real meat and if so, from which bit of the
chicken?

It is indeed real meat, and from all of the chicken. It may look like
toothpaste after being blasted off the carcass, but that doesn't change
the fact that it's meat. Much like the "pink slime" a.k.a. lean finely
textured beef is also pure meat. The bulk of the false claims against
both products are based on ignorance of the processes as well as a
sickening desire to attack the companies producing these products which
represent nothing more or less than an increase in the efficiency of
production and a reduction in waste.

The validity of the "mechanically separated" process has nothing to do
with where things are processed. I don't know where the McD nuggets are
being produced, but there is plenty of "mechanically separated chicken"
being produced in the US, the same as the "lean finely textured beef" is
also produced in the US.
