Oh how I hate to burst your narcissistic bubble. Webtv was not free, it was
$25 each and every month or you lost your service. But they did come up with
a yearly plan years later that brought it down to around $14.95 per month.
All that for glorious slow as molasses dial-up service. Yesiree, loved that snail-paced internet. I dumped it 17+ years ago for DSL and now wireless.

Well, well, well Mr. Computer genius. If you knew how to check headers,
which I know you know how to do with all those top-notch computer degrees,
you'd see who my service provider is.

Psst: Webtv closed shop about 7 years ago; it's a fake address just like
all the Gmail addresses you see around. But you being such a computer
whiz, you already knew this.

I'm s.t.i.l.l. waiting in the other thread where you said I make 'sweepingly
broad fallacious generalizations' about the internet. Hop to it, I want to
see those 'generalizations.'

Wow!  Here's mine:

At full retirement age (67):

*$3,174 a month*

At age 70:

*$3,947 a month*

At early retirement age (62):

*$2,221 a month
*

That's a real cut and paste from the ssa.gov site.  I max out so it
can't be any higher.

My IRA's and 401K will pay far more than that and I don't have to play
landlord to a group of strangers!  Working hard does pay!

The Webtv service is d.e.a.d. They did say when they pulled the plug

For some reason Mr. Computer Engineer nee Nurse associates WebTV with
AOL. What he doesn't seem to understand is you can DISPLAY any email
address you want. Hence the many people who post using bogus email
addresses. "@invalid" (dot net, dot com, dot whatever) immediately
comes to mind.

Sadly, that's what you (and others) are hoping for.
Why is that?

I wish him well and only offer one bit of free advice...
Keep your blood clean, John. No more cannibis nonsense or
trying to grow magic mushrooms in your basement.

If a patient died while in your care, you will be
blood tested. If drugs there, you could go to prison
and even be sued and lose your house and all assets.

Must be getting pretty painful.

I took the chicken pot pie out of the freezer last night and put it in

on February 29th. It's a full size pie and will provide more than a
couple of meals over the next few days. :)

How many ounces is your pie, Jill?

Thursday, I bought a Turkey Pot Pie made by Marie Calendar's.
I've heard they are good. I opted for the turkey as it has
more flavor than chicken. It's 15oz.

Funny too. It claims golden flaky crust made from scratch.
Made from scratch gravy and made with premium turkey breast.
Then it shows an ingredient list so long even Bruce would
get tired from reading it all. lol

I just put it in the oven. No need to thaw as the crust will
bake while the filling heats up

Good luck to both of us.

When he loses that nursing job he'll claim it's their fault and nothing he
did to cause the termination. Yeah, right. He'll start running that
bi-polar mouth and they'll rue the day they ever hired him.

I'm not hoping for it. In fact, you missed the post where I replied to
Janet UK and said I don't hope he can't find a job.

I did wonder why he had to be doing in home nursing rather than applying
at a hospital or a clinic when there is such a great need.

Given his track record, he'll be right back here soon giving excuses for
why it didn't work out.

I absolutely agree with that. His online rants don't up his chances for
maintaining employment for the long term. No one cares if he loves his
"cuppa plus".

Cannabis isn't legal where he lives but CBD oil is. He uses a tagline
saying he's a Cannabis Nurse. Would you, as a father, have let this man
treat your daughter having read his posts? I somehow doubt that.

It weighs 1.38 lbs. I took a picture of the label for you:

Maybe I'll take a picture of the baked pie when I take it out of the
oven. It's in the oven now at 350F with the timer set for 55 minutes.

Uh, okay. Not the same thing since what you bought was already *frozen*.

I don't need good luck. I've had these fresh from the deli pot pies a
few times in recent years. When I'm perusing what's in the deli section
I look for them; they aren't available.

Apples and oranges when it comes to comparing fresh pot pie (which I
chose to freeze) and frozen Marie Calendar's or any other brands of
frozen pot pies.

I'm not trying to sound superior. They simply aren't the same.

At least an honest reply. The others will say that they worry so much
about John's potential patients.

Try this, expert:

You'll be waiting until the Second Coming. Once he's been proven wrong
you hear nothing but crickets coming from his direction. All I'm hearing
is crickets awaiting proof that I made some false generalization statements
about the internet.

A person can grow old waiting on John to show you facts.

But, but, but John says he's a computer whiz!!! Has he been lying to us
all these years?!?! Say it ain't so!

Similar with my email. It is a snet.net address but Southern New
England Telephone has been gone since 1986. The email is still carried
on ATT servers though even though it was SBC, ATT, Frontier, Yahoo.
After 40 years I really don't want to change to a new address.

When Microsoft said WebTV users can keep their old addresses as long as they
sign in at least once every 270 days I thought "why not?" I still hear from
folks I once communicated with on the WebTV groups. It's also good for
some sites that insist you sign in before accessing their information.

I do have a *real* internet address with my name and it's definitely not
Gmail. It's used to conduct business such as banking, credit cards, prescriptions, income tax, Social Security, etc.

Not a chance and I've said before that John

My only comparison was that we both were cooking pot pies.
Naturally a home-made or a deli one will be tastier than
a commercial frozen pie. Naturally anything that you cook
is vastly superior.

As for me, I cooked that Marie Calendar's one that others here
have recommended in the past. First time for me to try one.
It was very good, btw. They don't skimp on the meat.

Would you like to compare today's pooped out pot pies?
Should we compare the end results of fresh vs frozen?
