My in-laws live in Oroville, California. When I was there, the place was a tinderbox. It looked like it could explode at any time. Later on, there was rain and massive flooding, they thought the dam would fail. Now they are in danger of exploding again. I don't believe I could live under such nervous conditions.

Fire and rain. Ain't that the truth for Oroville this year. It was just
a few months that they were overwhelmed with rain and they had to
evacuate because there was a major fear that reservoir dam was going to
burst and take most of the town out with it.

The water also exposed some gold when the river banks collapsed. This caused a gold rush to the area. Some folks got rich.
