Up near 99F again this afternoon, dewpoint high and very little
wind. uggghh. Local news say this is the hottest July on
record ever (about 150 years). I believe it.

Even the early mornings are stuffy.

Old redneck joke:
Redneck walks into a bank

Redneck: I'd like to cash this here check
Teller: Got any ID?
Redneck: 'bout what?

About sustainable energy, global warming, the hottest July in 150
years. (Had America even been discovered 151 years ago?)

It's a nice day here. We had a low around 65 F, the high will be around
85 F, and the humidity should bottom out under 50%.

It has overall been a hot July here, too. Luckily, storm systems
have kept the hottest weather at bay, but we've had long stretches
at 90 F.

It's very hot here, too. It's 90F but the humidity is only 63% which is
pretty low for July. You know it's bad when you wake up and the
exterior windows are soaking wet but it hasn't been raining. You know
the humidity/dew point is bad when you step outside and it's like
someone wrapped a hot wet towel over your face. Today is not so bad but
it's still too hot to be comfortable outside.

10:20am now and it's HOT outside. I'll stay in with ac for the
rest of the day. Evil summers here.

Just look forward to a better Fall. It's always brutally hot and humid
here in the Summer... that's why I have AC. ;) Just saying it isn't
nearly has humid this morning, so far. I still don't plan to do
anything outside. Hot is hot and 90°F is uncomfortable.

It's a Indian Winter here, only 97F. Its a rare day in July that we
get below 100F and we've had a bunch already. And an early
hurricane, too.

ObFood: Steve's Climactic Brownies happened at about 3:AM this
morning after nearly a week of foreplay. Recipe at Noon! (need more
time to get it up).

It's been exceptionally hot here, 98慚 yesterday, with high humidity
but no rain for 13 days now. Grass is turning brown in areas.
Yesterday I put out two large tubs of water for the critters...
geese and other birds plus chipmonks, squirrels, and others have been
guzzling. They all find plenty to eat but water can be hard to find,
during winter it freezes, during hot spells in summer most everything
dries up. During winter we place heated water tubs out, costs mere
pennies to keep from freezing. We place some rocks in the tubs so
small critters can climb out. Most times there's splenty of water
flowing here but during heat waves water becomes scarce. Birds can
fly to find water but other critters can't travel very far, so we
always make sure that water is available for the critters who live
here, large plastic tubs work well.
