Semi-Homemade was back this weekend with the first brand new episode in
months. The real story wasnt Sandras tacky bird tablescape, or the way
her eyes lit up at the sight of the unopened bottle of vanilla vodka. Oh
no. The real story was Sonia Williams, the Semi-Homemaker who was
invited on the show to share a recipe for OChoco Cafe Cake (whatever
the hell that is).

After the episode aired, several hundred FNH readers sent us emails and
twitter messages asking us one thing: is Sonya Williams a transvestite?

sonya williams semi homemade sandra lee

Answer: WE HONESTLY DONT KNOW.

Something was clearly amiss with her voice, and her hands definitely
could never be mistaken for dainty. And what about that aqua turtleneck?
Was it just an unfortunate fashion misstep, or a cleverly orchestrated
mechanism to hide an Adams apple? And how about the awkward banter with
Sandra Lee about her two children? Did she actually BIRTH these kids, or
did she adopt them?

Sadly, the world may never know.

We did manage to snag a few seconds of video for those who are
interested: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S1OGUXTTu

(A final note: Im a big believer in equal rights for all people, and it
bothered me to see how FAKE and condescending Sandra Lee was toward
Sonya after she heard her speak and started wondering if she might be a
man living as a woman. Sandra treated her like she was a leper whom she
didnt want to touch her for fear of catching something. The tension in
the air was palpable, and the whole segment was one of the most awkward
things Ive seen on the Food Network in months.)

Sonya, good luck to you, whoever you are. We do have one recommendation,
though: next time, submit a recipe to Ina Garten instead.

You've never seen a transgender person before? Come down from your
ivory tower and meet real life.

>And how about the awkward banter with

I don't watch SL very much, but the segment surprised me. I can't
remember her ever talking to someone that wasn't a friend or relative
before. Is this bring a fan onto the show thing new? I guess Sandra
Lee has a gay following, just like Kathy Griffin and other celebrities
do, and she's showing off.

Perhaps she was their father at one point. Didja stop to think about
that?

Sadly? You *care* that much?

Where?

What? It looked like someone used to being on camera with someone not
used to being on camera. What couldn't you understand about that
situation?

It would need to be a better recipe.

I love cooking with wine.
Sometimes I even put it in the food.

The moron who wrote this personifies what I loathe about a significant
segment of any given population. Mean-spirited and petty, but without the
balls to be so openly, so they couch their comments in terms of alleged
"good wishes" to the subjects of their lame ass attacks. And aol on top of
it. Die thickhead, die, die, die.

When did this supposed show air?

Yeah sure you did. When I attempted to access this "supposed" video
capture the page at youtube had this at he top: The URL contained a
malformed video ID.

If you are going to fake something and lie about it that is one thing.
But if you want to have ANY air of truth and fake authenticity at least
post a link to your fake video correctly.

Usually it's Ubiquitous. Has this one posted before? If so, I'll
kill him too.

Proof that gay folks are just as likely to have bad taste as
straights.

Last weekend, July 4. Googling, I see the message was spammed, so we
might as well stop talking. Here's a link anyway

I didn't even get a video ID, it was just a page with lots of
choices... none of them in the Sandra Lee ballpark.

It looked like that fat queen, Reggie, from "Who Wants To Be The Next Food
Network Star?" to me.

That's too obvious! :-D

It is simply breathtaking to watch the glee and abandon with which
the liberal media and the Angry Left have been attempting to turn
our military victory in Iraq into a second Vietnam quagmire. Too bad
for them, it's failing.

My IL tranny friends where impress with Sonya's man hands, and no real
woman would have wore that unfortunate sweater.

Ever helpful.....

I can only guess it was to hide his manly arms and neck.
