After losing internet, home phone, and cell service Christmas day
I'm finally online and all services are up and running as of about
2:35 p.m., CST today. Sunday I got iffy cell service but that was
all and no internet on that device.

I hope all that celebrate Christmas had a wonderful and safe day.
The day was spent at my nephew's house as was planned and we
ate like condemned men. LOTS of standard and some different
breakfast items were feasted upon. Mimosas as well as some
other sort of alcoholic Christmas punch and coffee, too, were
available to slurp on.

welcome back - four days, that's serious downtime due to some wacko
blowing himself up downtown

Welcome back, Joan... I really missed you... I wish we can have some
Crystal Palace slurps together... and I got a fresh bag of lemons from
BJs today... and 16 lovely thick pork loin chops well trimmed, two
family packs for the freezer, already packed two in each zip loc. But
dinner tonight was big bowls of thick yellow pea soup with meat from
the Christmas ham bone, very good on a cold wet night... 22º now but
was warmer and raining earlier. We don't mind the fridgid weather
here, keeps the rifraf away... during winter we have no homeless trash
on the streets, not when it's -18º and lower.

Yay! In addition to covid, Nashville has had a hell of a year. I worried
about the tornadoes. I wasn´t worried about you and the current
disaster.

Thanks ALL! I missed the gang and glad to be back!! Also glad I had
some computer games I could play when I got bored with TV. :o)

I was fortunate the tornado missed me by 3 blocks but the Christmas
morning explosion about tossed me out of the bed. Let's hope the
New Year will be better for everyone.

You must live much closer to the centre of town than my niece does - she
didn't lose her internet connection, although it was a little blippy
when we were 'Zooming' on Xmas day.
I'm glad you're okay.

Don't think it could be worse :) Are you still biking?

I think that internet was a problem for a lot of people on Christmas
day, possible due to record numbers of people having Zoom or other
virtual meetings. There were a lot of people watching virtual church
services. Ours was down a few times during the day.

I was three miles from the blast. Who does your niece have her service
through? Service was out for AT&T customers in middle Tennessee,
part of southern Kentucky. a large portion of Alabama, and all the way
down to Atlanta although all of Atlanta was not affected.

Most everybody had service until around noon when the back-up batteries
died.

Don't know. Probably not ATT!

Yes, that can be a problem. We've had power failures here and lost our
internet connection, and then less than an hour later, the cell/mobile
service died. At least the landline still worked, but my husband's
business Voip phone was out of commission.
