I'm still researching old cookware lines. Were or are these two comparable? What are the differences in operation and quality? I'm trying to compare some items on ebay. Shoot, one seller is asking over two thou for a set of Saladmaster.

A friend said he had the Lifetime set which cost 300 bucks back in 1960, so they must've been some pans. He thinks his ex is probably still cooking with them. ( At least SOMEthing lasted from that union.)

We bought Farberware back in 1966 and it is still looking good in daily
use. Don't recall the price, but far cheaper than the overpriced stuff.
Good value.

This doesn't exactly answer my question, but.........thanks for the opinion. I have some old Farberware, and can attest to its serviceability. I guess Saladmaster and Lifetime aren't all that well known.
