Sounds like you've never been raped. Me neither.

Self driving cars - I still don't get it and probably never will. I see the day coming
when such computerized cars are hijacked and used to plow large quantities of
explosives into crowded events such as the concert you mentioned earlier. A lot
of negatives around the corner with these new and improved pieces of crap. I
guess that's just par for the course. I am no more amazed by jets being propelled
by electricity than by gas. To me the shower is still an amazing invention. And the
toilet. The wheel wasn't bad either.

I am viewed by many as negative but agree it's going to be some time
before these fabulous new and improved versions of whatever we've
already got swing into action. I expect to see a lot of unexpected
malfunctions and other horrors with lots of this new shit that seems
to be rather rushed at times, and am hoping to see a lot of conflict
and problems with it. That's the price of progress - you gotta go through
me to get there. Come on New-timer, try me. Try my fucking hand!

Self-driving cars only have to drive better than the average person.
And since they don't drink, don't use drugs, don't drop cigarettes,
don't use mobile phones etc etc, I can see it happen soonish. They
don't have to drive better than the infallible super hero Thomas

My brother has a self-driving truck although he has to keep his eyes on the road or the system disengages. That sort of takes away from the self-driving feature but I don't have any problems with taking baby steps.

Does it bring the vehicle to a full stop first?

That might be handy if someone has a heart attack.

I don't know a thing about the system. Being able to stop would be a nice feature.

I won't argue it, especially since you are so convinced these new and
improved versions of stuff already around are going to take off big time
any day now. It's going to be a while and there are going to be plenty of
roadblocks. In time there will be separate roads for self driving vehicles
and ones piloted by people, with the self driving vehicles getting the new
and improved roads. That's the way I see it.

I won't argue it because in time your expectations will come to pass
even if they are not exactly as you imagined. So at that time we will
see who's right. Even then if the self driving cars get into a lot of
trouble I'm sure those who support them and all new things simply
because they're new will have excuses at the ready. "Well, it's only
been a short while, let's give the new self driving cars a little more
time before we start criticizing them", and so forth.

Also, number one with me - these constant claims of self driving cars
being more safe - how can such claims be made on the basis of a few
experiments with actual humans in the car? Besides, safety is not the
main issue even if some people want to pretend that's what they care
about. I think there should be some danger to driving. Just as bad
brakes make a careful driver, so too does danger of all sorts do the
same thing. You want a world where everyone goes perfectly round
and round, buy yourself an electric train set.

There is still some room for improvement. Every few weeks I experience an
'incomplete operation', whereby I am left with the need to go and get the
toilet obstruction displacement kit from the basement and apply successive
escalation of levels of shit-disturbing operations.

Usually I start with a pail of lukewarm water from the shower, followed by
a half hour wait repeated a few times. Of course, if in a hurry, I go
directly to plan B, which looks like a concertina with a wooden handle on
one end and a 5" hole on the other.

The thing is, I would be willing to put in an industrial-sized toilet.
You know, the ones with no tank, but you've got a 200 PSI pump in the
basement and people on the Internet take pix of flushing pit balls, &c

My wife says that would look inelegant, but I figure I can always
exercise my male prerogative for a stand-up urinal and then pretend to
concede to the one-piece toilet. Is that a plan or what?

The worse part is that I usually end up cleaning the whole bathroom
because there is always some (clean) water from the pail that ends
up on the floor, so I'm already at the point of mopping the floor.

Yes, in another way it could prove deadly, like the car suddenly
coming to a stop without the driver wanting it to happen. That'
would be quite the shock. Lawsuits are going to fly soon.

There are intangibles to driving as with most things. In a moment requiring
a split second decision I'll take the most ordinary human brain over a machine
any day.

Those cars that are programmed to stop when the system senses
something in front of them. O think it's stupid rely on such things, to take
yourself out of the picture completely, which seems to be what most people
want these days, to be removed from all responsibility, making things as distant
and impersonal as possible.

The self driving car is programmed to stop under certain conditions where
a human brain might be able to see that hitting the gas pedal is a better option
than coming to a quick stop. Yeah I know - people are stupid, right? Well, I don't
care how stupid they may be, I'll take the most ordinary human brain over a
machine in a life and death split second decision. For now anyway.

Pretty wild plan. Reminds me of when I was a kid and I stole $20 out of
my grandmother's purse and decided to lessen the guilt by handing it to
her and telling her I found under the cushion of her favorite chair knowing
she'd give me a $10 reward for my "honesty."

I have had a problem with incomplete bowel movements for about 8 years.
Went to 3 different doctors and got paraded through their machines which
are nothing but giant cash registers. Procedures, nothing more. No detective
work. No questions and answers. Anyway, because I have to dig the turds out
I got into the habit of using paper towels instead of toilet paper. Stronger,
less apt to tear.

They say don't flush paper towels down the toilet. I don't care. I use the
really cheap flimsy ones for that purpose alone. I have gotten into using
baby wipes. I flush those too. If anybody ever bitches about it I'll tell
them to talk to my doctors. Lately, after 8 years the problem seems to
be getting better on its own.

You gotta admit, lots of old inventions are taken for granted, as maybe
they should be. But for me, stepping into a shower and turning the faucet
and water comes pouring out instantly at just the right temperature, to me
that is a luxury. Sometimes I'll be taking a shower or a shit and will stop to
think about these amazing inventions which seem to have taken a backseat
to "new and improved" electronic bullshit that has it's place and can be exciting
as well but has not yet stood the test of time the way the shower and toilet have.

This is the ultimatum. You have a computer and a toilet but can only
keep one. Which would you throw away? I was going to say I'd toss the
computer because I love the toilet so much. But I know that's not true. I know
I'd let go of the toilet easily in favor of squatting over a spread out newspaper to
let the turds fly. I'll keep the computer. But a shower might be a different story.
Lots of modern inventions, or modifications to older ones, are ok with me,
especially when they work. But to rant and rave about some new shit just
because it's new and is nowhere near being proved as workable, man that is
sick and disheartening to see and I am sincerely hoping to see a lot of accidents
and other negative shit happen with some of this stuff starting with self driving
cars.

That is a very narrow minded and unfair example you just tossed my way.
I've heard it used before. It must make you feel really progressive and ahead
of the times to tell other people how archaic they are simply because they have
some doubts about some new things. Not all new things are good just because
they are new. I'm sure at some point in time you have had doubts about
something new and unproved on the horizon. Isn't it fun when you express your
doubts and are met with the "It'll never fly, Orville" routine? That's easy to say
because you were born into a world where flight already existed. At one time you
may even have believed the earth to be flat had you not learned otherwise in school.
I won't hesitate to admit that had I not learned otherwise in school I would probably
think it's flat. And you know what? It is flat. It is flat to me because I don't look beyond
the horizon even though I am an extremely open minded person capable of venturing
deeper into the future and the past and the inner folds of abstract thought than you or
anyone I've encountered on this group or in the general population period.

Yes indeed, baby steps. But you would also need some kind of magic elixir to turn
yourself into a baby, or at least a lot younger than you are now, in order to live long
enough to see those baby steps get anywhere. Just because the self driving car
represents the future to some people doesn't mean it's going to happen any time
soon. As I said, it could happen, but only if the self driving vehicles and those
driven by humans are on separate roads. At that time people will be clamoring to
the old school style of driving, doing it by one's self - and at that time they will find
themselves viewed as second class citizens, knowing deep in their heart that they
deserve it because they put their faith into a bunch of unproven techno bullshit.

I feel unsafe around people who rely on security for everything. Just because
something is touted as the future doesn't mean it's going to happen just because
Orville and his brother did so. Some advancements don't surprise me at all. For
instance, a plane that in the beginning goes only 40 miles an hour, if that - it's
obvious once the first step has been made that it won't be long before its going
much faster.

Escalation is alien to nothing. Records are made to be broken. But to
say that some unproven form of newness is going to be a success just because
Orville and Wilbur had success, that could be a problem as I'm sure the past was
full of promises that never came to pass. But we don't hear about those.. To call
someone narrow minded simply because they are skeptical of something new
(and unproved), is very unfair. Very very unfair.

Sources have told The Telegraph that an internationally advertised gay party in Spain is also being investigated as the
root cause of the global monkeypox cases.

In the UK, a link was first drawn between gay men and monkeypox earlier in the week, with the UK Health Security
Agency (UKHSA) urging men who have sex with men to be alert to any new rashes or lesions on their body, including their genitalia.

No, I haven't missed anything, you have. You always do. Maybe I'm just
not very good at conveying my thoughts. Or maybe you're not good at
interpreting them. I don't know, but your comments about me rejecting
all modern advancements is bogus. I never gave the future wholesale
rejections, only parts of it that at the moment are purely speculative. You
seem to be the absolute opposite of what you suspect me to be. You
suspect me of rejecting the future and recent advancements in total, and

talking about me? Hey, Cshenk, are you talking about me?

Thanks for the kind words. But let's back up a bit and see about
getting rid of the words "meretricious piffle" (which I have not yet
looked up but will). You are correct, I am not trying to sell anything.

In fact, only a moment ago I was responding to someone about
something and was outwardly expressing to my disgust to myself
about how I write all this shit and get nothing but ultra short responses,
if that. I was screaming at the machine, "Why can't these people GIVE?
Like me?" Sure, some of the stuff, maybe most of it, sucks. But a lot
of it is flat-out true. I have some pretty entertaining stories from my
life that would sell big time if they were found in the basement or
attic of John Lennon or some other dead celebrity. It's nothing great
but no one is forced to read it. Again, thanks for chiming in. I know
it's generalizing but I am beginning to think people who use their
own names in this group, even if it's just a monicker, I am beginning
to see them as more honest and open even if I happen to disagree with
some of them big time sometimes. Maybe this Cshenk person was
talking about somebody else, but I kind of doubt it.

She? She? I swear to God I knew it. Well, I didn't know it, I just felt it,
but the feeling was strong. The look of the name Cshenk has a masculine
vibe to it. Hard core. Yet for some reason when I read that person's very
hateful and spiteful words I immediately saw a woman's hand behind it.
I have great intuition. Not the women's type, stronger and better with a
higher batting percentage of being right. Although I can be wrong - at times.

Yo, dis1 - what's your actual name anyway? - at first I wondered, "Is he
talking to me, I don't think I ever once called anybody a spammer in any
group at any time. I had to look. So you were talking to Mike Duffy. In
his defense, not that he needs it, the name "Cshneck" does appear
above his post although it's a bit jumbled up up there.

I am serious though. I never asked your name. I asked someone else,
a few people, at different times. I thought I saw someone call you Dave.
When I called you that someone said "His name is not Dave", without
revealing your real name. It's like some kind of secret agent bullshit,
CIA type stuff, or what? Just the dog tags, rank and whatever - no name.
So what's your name if you don't mind? Mine is Thomas Joseph and
it's immediate derivatives Tom, Tommy, or TJ. Or "Hey you." That's ok too.

"My Name is Nobody." (I liked that movie in parts)

Pretty funny. There is a conspiracy vibe to it for sure. Be careful

Can we do Aloha without the Mister? As for you, what the fuck
is your name anyway? I got you pegged as Greg Sorrow. Your short
response style posts are better than your political screeds which are
too predictable and sermonesque for me. But even those can be a

someone he didn't get along with above ground but who now
suddenly is his best friend because they are the only one visiting.

No, I wasn't talking to you. I've never called you a spammer, nor would I ever call you a spammer - even if you were a spammer. I don't call people names. Someone else called you a spammer. Why did she do that? I do not know. Take it up with her. I reckon she won't respond to you because she thinks you're an "obvious spammer."
I wasn't talking to Mike Duffy either. He doesn't think you're a spammer but he thinks that I think you're a spammer. Why does he think that? I do not know. I don't know why anybody thinks anything in this nutty group.

Here's what I had for breakfast: crispy edge pancakes AKA, "pancakes." My wife had French toast. Gosh it was good! It was the best French toast I've ever tasted.

Yes, I'm pretty good at distinguishing between Sorrow and you.
No matter what you think of him, sometimes Mr. Sorrow has something
decent to say. Or something not so decent said in a decent way. I like his
posts when he lays off the political crap. So you are correct - I WAS directing
my response to him, not to you. I can't bat a thousand trying to ID two guys
both using the same fake name - but I do a pretty decent job with it. How

I see the :) sign designed to soften the sting of your words. On the other
hand you do like to argue a lot. You enjoy the confusion. You are not
alone. A lot of people in this group pretend to not understand what other
people are saying as an excuse to continue their argument. I understand.
But I am different. I am honest, the most honest man I ever met - so for me,

It may appear that Duffy was responding to you but he was simply trying to clue me
in on who called me a spammer and why. He was not talking directly to you. At least
I did not get that impression. He was trying to be helpful, not argumentative.

I eat pretty much the same breakfast every day. But a switch is nice now and
then. Even going out to eat at a junky fast food place has it's benefits as I have
noticed over the years that after eating at certain fast food spots my turdal evacuation
improves greatly, also my farts. I love the big boomers. I think something new shocks
the system and gets it moving, even if that something new is considered unhealthy.

Haven't had pancakes in a long time. Ain't gonna make them at home and I rarely
go to restaurants anymore. Nothing to do with COVID. It started about 20 to 30
years ago - not being able to put up with the noise in some places - the hubbub, very
hard on the nerves, especially with a bunch of children running unsupervised up and down
the aisles screaming their guts out with that nerve shredding shriek known only to
pre schoolers.

The trans supporters, for the most part, don’t give a **** about trans people.

It’s just a way to flex their intellectual and moral superiority to others. If you don’t agree with their
outlandish orthodoxy then you’re an ignorant bigot. Which means they are enlightened and tolerant.

Love The Skin You're In!

Most people are very happy with what they've got, but if you're not happy with it, take control and change it.

The most common things people want are to be a bit bigger, and interestingly, to not have been circumcised.

While there's truly nothing you can do to make it bigger, non-surgical foreskin restoration works and is getting
more and more popular.

Some of you might want to check out NORM, NORM-UK and TLC Tugger and Foreskin Restoration Forums.

Sounds like you're saying that posting under someone else's name does not exist unless it's your name? I'm skeptical.

The restaurant calls this dish "Kailua eggs." My wife's late friend's son and his partner are the owners. My wife is sad that her friend never got to eat at/see the place. They also own another restaurant in just down the street in Kailua, Oahu.

You should try citing your source instead of Googling n' cutting n' pasting - that's pretty lame. In the end, you Goolgled but still don't know shit. That's a double dose of lame.
If I'm talking to a local from Hawaii, I'll say "podagee", for the haoles on the mainland, it's Portuguese. A person in the Northeastern states might say "podagee" too. It might be a derogatory term on the mainland but it isn't on this rock - well, maybe just a little.

Contrary to popular myth, Ford did not pay his employees more so they could afford to buy cars.

He did it to increase his profits.

He figured out turnover costs more than paying people well.

He upped the pay and his turnover went down a lot

This allowed his factories to be more efficient and make him more profits.

GM again. Nothing to say to me, just another opportunity to spout your philosophies
which are not your own and are understood even by people who don't dwell on it
night and day. It goes way beyond the trans people, all kinds of assholes are looking
for a chance to play their ace in the hole. The Jews got the holocaust. Constant updates
on Anne Franke help keep it alive (for example). The fake enlightenment and tolerance
has been going on a long time. There are so many people openly declaring against
tyranny and injustice and oppression that one has to wonder how all that stuff got off
the ground in the first place. The answer is obvious - there are far less genuinely
tolerant people on earth than some want us to think. I'll even go as far as to say some
parents are secretly hoping their kids get killed by a drunk driver (example), so they
can start a "non profit" anti drunk driving foundation. "We're looking out for you" is
the latest industry with even news people now referring to themselves as our
"first responders." Seeing through these phonies has no value. There is nothing
anything can do to stop it. In fact, being able to see through it only makes it harder
to take. People with no card to play sometimes resort to individualistic acts of
violence to get the attention they think they deserve. You know, spree killers and
the like. They are human too. I support their right to kill until someone deals them
a better hand.

I know that Mr. Malraux. Did you think that switching from your real name to a
fake one would somehow discourage the 'frogging'. That's what it's called, right?
Frogging. Well, it's a form of imitation - and as I'm sure you know the saying goes,
"Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery", so you should take that into account,
especially now after using a series of fake names. I think you like the frogging
in a you yourself can't explain. It just becomes so all about you. Even when GM
posts - as you - once again it's all about YOU. What did you do to GM to get him

regret being that there aren't more people doing it. Mr. Malraux!

"Non-surgical foreskin restoration", LOL.

"Yo Doc, can ya give me the extra long look?"

"Sure can. But extra long is going to cost you."

"How much?"

"Oh I don't know, I think $30,000 skins sounds good enough."

By the way, does Medicaid cover the restoration? Just kidding, I wouldn't want
the restoration as I am an adorer of the cute skinless boner shinking with musical
definition with each individual segment of the post from the base of the balls to the
tip of the gleaming glans penis pulsing with eye catching glory.

You are correct, and I am that outsider. Even at the cab company down here in
Winston Salem NC the dispatchers used to call me "Outsider." There was humor
to it, but some of them really did see me as an outsider, which I proudly admit is true.

As for the food, you may have read before that I cook only foods I have to. I cook
bland then spice it up after. Some of the stuff is pretty good. I'm eating pasta the
last few weeks. I boil the pasta. I blanch the broccoli. And I blanch the chicken
breasts. These are then put in the fridge and added to a new mix every day with
roma tomatoes, minced garlic, basil, parsel, whatever I want to throw in there along
with lemon and olive oil and red chile peppers sliced then. It's a cold pasta salad.
Anyway, I got into the habit of cooking a bunch of thick sliced mushrooms in the
microwave, about 1 minute, then remove and stir and do a minute more. I also do
this with brussel sprouts cut into quarters - about 2 and 1/2 minutes each time. They
are good cold in the cold pasta salad with everything spruced up with the garlic and
other herbs and spices.

Glad I clicked on it. Seems the only way I'd ever get your real name. So it is

I wouldn't use a hearing aid if I went totally deaf tomorrow. I can live without
sound. At least I think I can now that I can hear. Sometimes things have to be
taken away before we know how much we need them. Right now my hearing is
fine. But maybe I need more things to go wrong with my health - and I believe
it's starting - so that I can at long last acquire a much belated appreciation
for the many gifts God has given me in this life along with help from human
friends such as yourself and others on this group who have helped sustain me
in my quest to forge ahead into the future, not just for myself, but for all mankind!

Man, the written word of other people, as long as they are official sources of some
kind - it really appeals to you, doesn't it? I personally don't give two shits about
Mr. Ford. However, since you're into history and all that crap, I wonder if you knew
that Ford used to prospective hires to dinner to talk with them and get a feel for them.
But his main purpose was to see if they would salt their food before tasting it. I
don't know if it's true, I only read it. Not a bad way to judge people. But I don't know,
judging people on just one thing, that's kind of narrow, isn't it? Almost as narrow
as salting your food before tasting it.

Anyway, fuck Henry Ford and every innovator who ever came down the pike. We have
their inventions now, the results of their hard work - so who needs them? Not me.

Now you've gone and done it again, using big words and
forcing me to google up the actual meaning before responding.
I have heard the word 'inscrutable' before, but only in context -
so now before launching my response I am forced to verify the
actual meaning of the word so as not to offend or confuse anyone.
Would others do same for me? I don't know.

in·scru·ta·ble
/inˈskro͞odəb(ə)l/
adjective: inscrutable
impossible to understand or interpret.
"The guy looked blankly inscrutable"

Glad I looked up the word. I was close with the actual
meaning, but not on the mark. I thought it meant 'unbending'
or 'inflexible' or 'firmly planted, something like that.

I do not see orientals as being impossible to understand or
interpret, but like most stereotypical views of other people,
they are exaggerations rooted at some point to some degree
in truth. The oriental does have a certain veneer about him,
doesn't he. Unflappable. A machine. Can't be moved. Will
not wilt under pressure.

As a pool player I played my share of orientals. I'm talking
pure oriental, not Hawaiian, although I played plenty of
Hawaiian guys too. Your image of the oriental is right on.
They do appear unflappable. But they are humans. And
once they crack they are like egg shells coming apart. You
have to get through that outer veneer to get things cracking,
But yes, it is a stereotypical view of the oriental that has some
truth to it. I believe all stereotypical views of peoples of different
ethnicities are rooted in truth.

Truth be mother fucking told

My sarcasm is gentle. In fact I don't even see it as sarcasm or
as something directed at just one person, it's just an overall
'funny to me' outlook in life, that everyone I have ever met has
helped make me the man I am today. What kind of man is that?
One of the greatest who ever lived, that's what kind. And I have

LOL. Contrary to popular belief, the loudness of farts is attributable
not so much to foods eaten but to freedom of flow within the body.
An open gut is needed for the big boomers of our youth. As we age
things tend to get more and more narrow in us. The pipes clog up.
Things slow down. A fart can be huge - the biggest of all time - but if
it can't pick up speed it's not going to break the sound barrier. For this
reason most real fart lovers already know that the key to great booming
farts is to go on a one to two day diet before eating a large amount of
fart foods. You're got to have free flow. But that's one often overlooked
aspect of farts that make them as great as they are, their ability to
appeal on more than one level. If you can't get a good sound going,
you might be able to redeem the fart with some powerhouse reek. If
you're trying to get some good reek going and you can't, you can always
cut a big non smelling boomer to make up for it. What a lovely gift from
God farts are!

A big alien telescope on a near-Earth asteroid could watch us in considerable detail during close approaches.

Small alien satellites could do the same.

And small alien robotic probes disguised as -- say -- seagulls or cats could do all the sampling and exploring of the Earth's surface with nobody the wiser.

Maybe the aliens have an odd sense of humor.

They just like to screw around with us like a child playing with ants.

Everyone so often they'll send out a UFO to become visible to one of our fighter planes or abduct a human or two in order to conduct a pointless anal probe.
