I had several requests for this recipe, so I'm not only posting it here, but
I'm putting it in my www recipe collection (address below).

I got this recipe from my sister-in-law, Esther Hiller, in Needham, Mass.

Noodle Kugel with Fruit

1 pound flat ribbon noodles, cooked
1-1/4 sticks butter or margarine (not "spread"), melted
1 cup sugar
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon cinnamon
4 eggs, beaten
1 large can fruit cocktail with juice, undrained

1 Grease 9" x 12" pan.

2 Combine all ingredients in large bowl.

3 Pour into pan.

4 Bake at 350F for 1 hour.

Actually, raisins are something I think of while I'm cooking, but never
remember to amend the recipe when I post it. Thanks for pointing that out.

I do intend to try this recipe. Thanks.

I would also add turkish apricots cut up fine in the blender for this.

My version uses sour cream, cream cheese, and separates the eggs. The
whites are whipped up to stiff points and then folded into the rest of
the kugel. I don't use fruit or raisins. This stuff is so deadly, I
rarely make it anymore. Even I can not ignore a sweet noodle kugel. Ah,
soul food.
