I just returned from a week-long trip to Hermosillo, Mexico. While
there, I picked up a couple bottles of tequila, Don Julio and Herradura.
Both are aged or anejo. That I've got straight. However, the bottle of
Don Julio also is listed as Reposado. I noticed this on a couple other
brands. What does this mean? I'm trying to find a magazine article I
read that gave a lot of info on tequila's and what meant what, but as of
now I haven't been able to find it. One thing I remember from the
article was that only certain types could carry certain classifications
on the label, but I'm not sure if that only meant that to be called
tequila, it had to have 51% agave.
TIA.

Give me a rare porterhouse, a pint of Guinness
and a MonteCristo #2 and I'll be a happy camper.
I speak only for myself, not my employer.
Anejo tequila is aged for at least 1 year, reposado (rested) tequila is
aged for at least two months.
