She really can't play well, just makes some repetitive sounds. The
drummer is just a metronome. The guy on the keyboard should ditch them
and put together a group of musicians.

The drummer in a band really is the "metronome." He/she sets the beat
and is kind of the leader. I had a bad drummer once and he followed us
rather than taking charge. It didn't work so well.

Of course. Ed thinks music stopped evolving after White Christmas by
Bing Crosby.

I just clicked on and watched that music video. My God!
What a waste of time just like many youtube videos that people often
post here.

IMO, all of the musicians are very talented but don't know how to
combine their talent into a good band or songs.
Sounded like a boring jazz jam session only in rock version.

The drummer was fine and the bass player but they were background only.
The keyboard player was good too but he needs to lose the church organ
and use a real modern keyboard to enhance his talent.

Then we have the woman lead guitarist... Extremely talented and I was
very impressed. If she could only apply that to parts of a good song
and not just go on and on showcasing her excellent ability.

These are very talented musicians who will never get beyond performing
in local clubs. The music is loud and the audience are all drunk. Good
for an evening but not for an album for the masses.

And that's my review of that mess. :)

Yeah, at least she has nice legs to look at. heheh

I've always been very amazed with the popular 3 piece bands and how the
one guitarist/singer can do so well with only 2 backups, just a drummer
and bass player.

I tried that a couple of times and couldn't support it all.

1) Jimmy Hendricks of course although I wasn't a big fan. Never saw him
in concert.

2) Ted Nugent. Saw him in concert and was amazed.

3) ZZ Top. I was never a big fan until I saw them in concert. Their
music blew me away. I also loved the long beard "Rip Van Winkle" look of
the two guitar players.

She has some potential, but she was just farting around with blues
scales. Maybe one of these days she will be able to put it together into
a song or two.

I have seen better from high school garage band drummers.

He was the only one in the group who really seemed to have talent.

I saw him in concert and didn't realize it until decades later. I went
to a Beatles concert in Toronto in 1965. The opening act was King
Curtis. Apparently a young Jimi Hendrix was the guitarist for King
Krimson on that tour.

The Jeff Healey band consisted of only one incredible guitarist
accompanied by a good bass and good steady drummer. Jeff Healey lost
his vision as a result of cancer and died at the age of 41 from another
form of cancer.

I first heard about him when visiting my nephew in Toronto who kept
telling me I should come sometime when his tenants were practicing. The
band had rented the coach house on his property.I never got to do that
but I ran into the Healey one day in downtown Toronto. I was walking
out of Steve's Music store and he was coming in. A few years later I saw
him at an outdoor concert on a beautiful summer evening.

Here are a couple links to videos. The first his his original three
piece band. The second has a different and large ensemble.

For the most part, you're probably right (videos... posted here).

Again, however, there is some amazing content on YouTube, all free.
It's a convenient platform to share music videos and stupid stuff that
people share on here, but you can't write off the whole site for a few
videos that people share on Usenet.

OTOH, every extant episode of "What's My Line?" is on YT, so what is not to love...???

The LDS i.e., Mormon church is strong in Hawaii. My boss in the 80's was a Mormon. He used to take me shooting with him. He was a crack shot with his 45 revolver. He'd shoot with some pretty hot loads so that thing would have a lot of muzzle flash, sound like a cannon, and spit gas off to the side onto me. It was pretty unnerving to be shooting a small .357 with mild loads. He may have cooked those up special just for me. Ha ha.

Exactly, but there is so much more, for any taste. Aside from all of
the various educational videos, as you've touched on, there are lots of
entertaining things, and a combination of the two.

My favorite channel would have to be this one linked below... his humor
is exactly on point, and the random one-liners are hilarious. (E.G. *
lifting a random car part * "Well, this thing is heavier than Rosie
O'Donnell!")

He drags classic cars out of a ditch that have been sitting for 20-30
years, hacks them together on site, and drives them home, sometimes 600
hundred of miles, sometimes without brakes. If he breaks down far from
home, he might "do the right thing", and buy a 45 year old beater truck
along the way, hack it together, and tow the car home... lol

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fhpA1uT8W28

First 40 seconds gives you an idea of what the whole channel is about.
I was hooked when I watched him use brake cleaner with a lighter to kill
hornets in the door, LOL

Not a fan of the classic Hammond B3? It has a powerful lineage in jazz.

I was aware of the show due to the Internet, there was a lot of people
sharing the episodes on Usenet and bitorrent. I completely ignored it
for a few years... then I thought I would download an episode and see
what it was all about. I was immediately hooked. I just loved
everything about the show, including the production values.

You know what about Henry VIII? Yep, in my book.

_____________________________
Winter, Ian and Richard had claimed the side of the oval table that
was nearest the beer, and the meagerness of their dinners more
than suggested that they weren't intending to fill up on food. Eric
had gone the other route. With his drumstick, he reminded Winter
of pictures of Henry the VIII, something she didn't hesitate to share.
Chloe wasn't far behind, with her eating-for-two situation.
.
Ian's plate was topped with a wing tip, over a large serving of
green beans. He had carefully dodged the chunks of potato.
Winter noticed her mother glancing at his plate and said, "I
know I'm not supposed to speak about your personal life, Ian,
but my mom seems concerned to the point of distress. You
see everyone, Ian is leading a double life, and his alter-ego is
a supermodel."
.
Ian gestured to Eric's overloaded plate and declared, "Better
that than a bulbous, 16th century monarch with a penchant
for beheadings."
