Here are two easy and tasty micro recipes

TASTY ONION SOUP (Microwave 650 watts)

2 large onions 2 cloves garlic
1 Tbs butter 2 rashers bacon
2 Tbs flour 1 bay leaf
3 cups beef stock salt and pepper
(I used 3 tsp powdered beef stock to 3 cups water)

Thinly slice onions and crush garlic. Mix together with
the butter in a 2 litre casserole dish. Cook covered on
HIGH 4 mins.
Dice the bacon and add to the onions cover and cook on HIGH
2 mins. Stir in flour, then stock, bay leaf, salt and pepper
to taste. Cover, cook on HIGH 8 mins.
Serves 2.

This freezes well. Tastes really good with croutons.

MUSHROOMS IN SAUCE (Microwave 650 watts)

150g mushrooms 1 tsp cornflour
1 tsp chicken stock powder 1 Tbs butter
1 Tbs milk ground black pepper

Wash and slice the mushrooms. Place in small casserole
dish. Sprinkle with cornflour, chicken stock and pepper.
Dot with butter. Cook covered on HIGH 2-3 mins.
Stir in milk. Cook on HIGH 1 min. longer.
Serves 2.

This makes cultivated mushrooms taste like real ones B-).

Enjoy, Doreen.
