I rarely go to Wal-Mart, but they're pretty good
on small appliances, so I went there to get a
coffeemaker for my Mom. While there, I checked
out the canned fish section. What caught my eye
was the Pampa canned octopus from Spain. At only
$1.38 for a 4 oz. can, how bad could it be?

Not bad at all. In fact, one of the best canned
seafoods I've ever bought. Slices of tentacle
in a bland vegetable oil. I wasn't going to drive
all the way back to buy more, though the thought
crossed my mind. But then I remembered that a
Wal-Mart Neighborhood Market opened much closer to
me recently. My sister told me it was like a
supermarket, just food.

So, I checked it out. It's a big supermarket.
The vegetable section isn't that big, but the
rest of it is like the largest Safeway stores.
It also has a housewares and OTC drug section.

Prices are usually very good. Fresh brocolli
is only $1.54/lb right now, when everybody else
is charging $2.49 or $2.99, and the quality is
very good. I buy a lot of brocolli, so that
gives me a reason to go there. Lindt 90% bars
are also good, I think $2.85.

They had a place on the shelf for the octopus,
but no cans. It wasn't until my third trip
that they 'em, so I bought all 12 cans. Since
then, I scooped up another batch of 11. I've
only used up 11 cans total, including the first
one, so now I don't feel so pressed to buy every
can I see.

The octopus is very good drained, then eaten
with the Shirakiku wasabi oil. Minced shallots
goes good with that too.

Email is a terrible method of complaints as I've found out. Unless it is
a small company where the owners are directly involved in email
conversations, it never goes as planned. That said, phone calls result
in even more frustration because you can never get to the person who
really cares, if any of them do.

I've yet to have my phoned complaints/suggestions, etc. go unanswered
by snail mail. Last was about two months ago to complain about a can
of Lysol spray that stopped spraying while still practically full, I
promptly received a letter of apology and five coupons for free Lysol.
I don't bother with web forms, I have never gotten a reply so I doubt
anyone reads those. Email complaints get a reply maybe 25% of the
time and months after the fact. When I buy anything on line if there
is no contact phone number I don't buy from them.

Sheldon gets a low rate of return because he writes those giant
blocks of screedtext, so I'm sure he's right that nobody reads
them.

These days, it's harder to deal with big companies. It's probably cheaper for the companies to lose customers or have them unhappy. I have used email for a small amp company and was helped by the owner. He sold me an amp part at a very reasonable price. That was a good deal.

My guess is that most people that use the Pignose weren't born when it came out. I didn't know they were still being made. Amazing!

You criminally STALK and ABUSE women, you sick little dwarfy man!

Here's what you did when you went all over the Usenet impersonating the
well-liked regular named "sf" and posting all her personal data on the
net against her will, including her:

* home address
* age
* cell phone number
* husband's name

etc.

YOU did that, you evil bastard!

And then you had the hubris to actually GLOAT about in public saying:

She should call the cops. I've already publicly admitted it is me so
a conviction should be a piece of cake and then forging would stop.
So what's stopping her? I think she suffers from Bovism - she just
loves the attention and drama and screw the rest of the group.

-sw

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

And before that you literally stalked poor Omelet, a local Auustin
favorite, right off the Usenet!

In your worst moment ever you actually begged her to KILL you:

Sorry I don't fit either of your Ideal Psycho Pal Profiles.

-sw
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I'd prefer you use a sniper rifle on me from a few hundred yards away.
There you go - a reason for you to buy yet another gun and ammo.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Then after having your nose rubbed in your filthy criminal stalking you
came back with, not an apology, nor the slightest remorse, just this:

"The facebook group is much more pleasant."

But we all know that's only because you cower over there in mortal fear
of being booted by the FB admins.

You're _so done_ here virus, I mean really fucking done.

I'm making you a project like no other, expect a lot more of your evil
abuse and hatred to be aired for all to see here.

And we both know there's a google archive full of your hatred of women
just waiting to be hung out on the virtual clothesline to dry.

Enjoy then, you rotten, worthless misogynistic bastard!

When Marty was waging war upon the NFL newsgroups in '11 he fought
bitterly to take the 49rs group down, and ultimately lost.

The upshot of that is he began sending his loyal opposition "The
Inconvenient Truth" viruses by email.

That after his usual narking to get news accounts canceled.

Marty earned and still wears the title: Nunya Snitchiness, due to his
censorious cowardice.

If you should ever cross the BBQ-ruining greaseball this is precisely
what to expect from him.

Herein, TIT's warning to Nunya Snitchiness:

You gonna send em a virus like you did to TIT?

You're beneath scum.

Just like I showed EVERYONE here, you group-killing, fascist,
sociopathic greaseball!
