We logged over 500 miles in the SUV today , buried my wife's mother
at about the midpoint . No cooking content other than to note that I
don't know where the Church Ladies that fed us after the graveside
service (very brief and family only) got that fried chicken but it's the
best I've had in a while .

Oh! Sorry, for y'all's loss. Was this death sudden or had she been sick
a while??

You think maybe one of the church ladies fried the chicken??

Sorry for the loss. Nice that the Church Ladies fed you all before
the trip back.

Sorry about you mother in law, but you might consider yourselves lucky
to have been able to have a catered gathering. There are only very
small gatherings allowed here and most families have had the body
cremated and made plans for a service at a later date.
