I agree that the larger one is a septarian concretion or nodule. The
other is difficult to discern but it looks like a piece of chert.

Epoxy. It's probably the only glue that would work with the chert.

Or maybe just a buffalo turd from the 19th century that
was sat on then dried out in the sun. Pioneers then, would
gather them for fuel.

Or maybe an old Keebler chocolate cookie found behind
your couch the other day.
