It's said that this is because guys remember what they were like when they were young. I remember what I was like, and while I had a voracious sexual appetite, I was always loving and respectful of my girlfriends. If I had a daughter, I'd be happy if she was with a guy like I used to be, except less into alcohol/drugs, and less underachiever. I'd hope she'd find a nice lover, who'd have his face between her legs every day, and she not be promiscuous, especially with males.

The only father who disliked me was my 1st GF's father, partly because I was Gentile, which was silly because they were totally secular. GF #2 moved in with me when she was 16, and her parents were fine with me. GF #3's parents were fine with me too, even though the first time they saw me, I had blue hair. That was in 1985. About 6 months later, we got married, and still are, blissfully.
