Now that I have his phone number...
I bought a Nordic Track in 1997. But my flat feet were way too wide
to stand on those damned 2" struts without causing the bottoms of my
feet to ache so bad I couldn't walk afterwards. I returned it for a
full refund VIA a call tag. Those motherfuckers are impossible to
get back into the box they originally came in. They're counting on
that so you don't return them. But it can be done with two rolls of
packing tape - It looked like a big pregnant doobie but UPS took
it. Adios MF! I think it was $800 bucks or so.
I bought a Trek 8500 for almost twice as much and that got tens of
thousands of miles and I got 75 pounds lighter on it (after moving
to Santa Cruz from Columbus). The Nordic got less than 2 miles in
all - if it actually WENT anyplace for all that energy burned.
Nothing like staring a wall when exercising <yawn>. I burned more
calories putting it back into the box.
