We own more.

In any event, Parscale hasn't been Trump's "main man" since he was played by a bunch
of teenagers last June and allowed Trump to humiliate himself by announcing there
would be tens of thousands at his campaign rally where a few paltry hundred showed
up. Now Trump "barely knows the man".

LOL I recently got an email from the Trump campaign (junk mail!)
inviting me to reserve my seat at one of his campaign rallies. I
immediately thought about the incident you referred to. The teens of
America should keep pulling that stunt. :)

Trump's Tulsa rally was said to be torpedoed by K-pop fans and TikTokers. Beats me if that actually true. Trump believes it's true which is probably the reason he wants to torpedo, ban, and force a sale, of the TikTok social platform i.e., Trump's revenge. I did not know presidents could do stuff like that. Evidently, a president can do practically anything he wants - we just never knew about it.

I have seen those TikTok posts - those kids are kind of snots. Hee hee. The social platforms, which allow the rapid mobilization of users must be frightening to those old farts in Washington. It is a most powerful tool of the modern political age.

My friend's ex-girlfriend was a stan. She was stalking a boy in Korean boy band and would make trips to Korea frequently. That must have been pretty disturbing for the boys in the band - a crazy old German lady following their every move.

LOL...ain't that the truth...

People are fleeing from CA, NY, IL and other blue states like rats from a sinking ship...

As for Newsom's drive to ban IC vehicles after 2035, WHERE is the electricity for all of these vehicles going to come from...CA is already instituting rolling blackouts for millions of people...

BTW, the current "record - breaking" CA fires are dwarfed by the forest fires of the first half of the 20th century...was "global warming" a factor in those fires, as is claimed with these current conflagrations...???

Poor California, once the "Golden State", is now turning into a Turd World shitehole -- nation's highest poverty rate, extreme class/income stratification, streets impassable because of urine/feces/drug paraphernalia...corrupt politicians (Pelosi, Waters...), and general crime and lawlessness aided and abetted by neo - marxist politicians and their hare - brained policies...

Add in crumbling infrastructure, billion dollar "trains to nowhere" and other boondoggles, crappy schools (once CA led the nation in public education)...huge homeless populations, many illegals...

HEY, ya don't need to go to Nigeria or some other craphole place to view national dysfunction, we've got that now in Kalifornia...it is turning into a feudal society right before our very eyes...!!!

But that's what ya get when ya vote for democrats these days...

That fact seems to escape the Trump minions. They've been hypnotized to believe that all the bad things happening in the country is Obama's fault. It's a very strange disconnect from reality. They're in a trance-like state and proclaim Trump has done more for this country than any other president including Lincoln. They are aware that this country has gone to shit but they are unable to put two and two together. That's that way it is for people who are hypnotized.

Both interrupted the other but yes, Trump was worse with that.

Can't much blame him though. He had issues and dealt with them.
Biden has seen the results so now he has a better way. He
had the advantage of hindsight. It's always 20-20.

I listened a little. There's not much point in having another unless there's a way to keep the dogs from getting out.

Mostly, I was interested in how to change the oil in a Toyota. Toyota vehicles use a replaceable paper oil filter element and servicing gets pretty involved. The good news is that not using a metal can which ends up in a landfill is a sound ecological move.

Use really, really good oil. That way you don't have to change it often. Mobil 1 Extended Performance
is good for 20K miles, especially if you change your filter (and top it back up) once or twice during that
period. My son drives a Hyundai Sonata hybrid, and my name is also on the loan/title. He makes the
payments on the 60 month loan, and when he buys another car, I'm just going to assume the payments,
so I'm paying for all the maintenance, since it will be my car. The engine malfunctioned at less than 70K,
so Hyundai put a brand new engine in, and he only had to pay 20% of the replacement cost, as it was
less than 20K out of warranty. Thanks, Hyundai.

Mr. Kuthe has an all electric car, which is great for around town, but when we retire we're planning on
kicking around the country, and the Sonata will be perfect for that, especially since we plan to drive back
roads whenever practical. I don't know how old you are, dsi1, but the mainland USA has so much neat
stuff if you're retired (covered by Medicare) and can just amble about and follow the nice weather.

High oleic sunflower oil is pretty standard in the EU. The USA has been slow to adopt it, but the subject was
engine oil. If you operate a motor vehicle, IMO, you are best off using the highest quality motor oil. Cheap
oil is pennywise. If you do the math, extending engine performance and life by spending more on ultra
premium oil makes perfect sense. Spending more on oil filters that filter smaller contaminants makes sense.
Buying high quality gasoline makes sense. Replacing engines is expensive.

Beats me if most Toyotas don't have this type of replaceable elements. Some car will have this. My Hyundai V6 had a replaceable filter element. It was pretty easy to change the element. Changing the Toyota can be messy. Draining the oil onto the ground? Nobody does that anymore. Back in the old days, I used to dispose of my car oil in a shallow dirt pit. That was kind of dumb.

The thing about electric cars is that there is no oil changing. Well, that's my understanding anyway. How are electric motors to run without periodic lubrication? I do not know.

As far as the mainland goes, I have lived in the SF bay area and in Washington state. San Francisco and Seattle are wonderful and great cities. I don't particularly want to visit other parts of the mainland - well, except NYC, of course. I'll probably be taking a trip to Las Vegas to collect a car soon.

I've been to NYC and I've lived a few miles from
Washington DC. I live a few miles from Norfolk,Va now.
There's *nothing* great about any cities, imo.
All just overcrowded cans of people instead of sardines.

I can see all the city places on television documentaries.
I wouldn't waste time or money to visit one.
I prefer natural wilderness places with the cool geology.

The US mainland has many amazing National Parks.
Your own state has so much beauty and geology. Just
have to get away from the crowds.

In my opinion, Honolulu (for example) is such a shame
how that is now. Just imagine how it looked 300+ years
ago before people ruined it.

While I prefer natural areas to cities, there are some things about
metro areas that are cool, like museums. One thing is for sure,
once we're retired I sure don't want to *live in* a city.

That's unfortunate for people like me who have lived the quite live with
a small town nearby and cities almost too close for comfort. The Toronto
area baby boomers are retiring, selling their homes in the city for
$1-2million and buying down here, driving up our housing prices and
turning a rural area into urban sprawl.

My wife went to a private school in Toronto and we used to go to reunion
parties held by her classmates. One of them asked her if she missed the
restaurants, galleries, museums and theatre. I subtly asked them about
their downtown travels. We used to scoot into the city 2-3 times a
month, see her parents, drop the car there and hop on the subway to go
downtown. As it turned out, we were downtown and did all those city
things a lot more frequently than they did. It was an hour and a
quarter drive to the city. Most of them had to drive 45 minutes or more
in the ridiculous city traffic.

That's not surprising. A lot of people hate metal. A lot of people hate rap, country, evangelical pop, punk, pop, easy listening jazz, etc. In fact, I think that most people hate most music.

I don't particularly dislike any kind of music. Well, except maybe those one page sheets of German/English baroque that my guitar teacher would have me play. Those things were kind of lame.

Here's some Okinawan folk pop-rock. The Okinawans were mostly farmers. My guess is that they used bird whistles and barks to communicate over long and short distances. It's almost always a part of their music.

It was a traumatic experience for the nation. Back in the old days, someone would have to be killed to inflict so much horror in Americans. These days, Trump was able to pull it off in a debate. Amazing!

Trump also excited, energized, and validated, the Proud Boys hate group. His saying that they stand back and get ready cannot be a good sign for the Republic. Those are serious and treasonous words.

I don't have any problem with people being anti-fascists. Of course, the bigger the fascist, the bigger the push-back. Stand back and get ready people!

I assume you're talking charcoal grill. Gas grills don't require cleaning afterward,
although if there's something burned onto the grates (like gochujang) it's
nice to run it on preheat for a while to burn the gunk off.

In that case, when you start your travels, I highly recommend
an extended trip to Washington DC. All of the Smithsonian
museums, National Art Gallery and all of the monuments and
govt. buildings too. All very impressive.
There are so many interesting places to visit in one city.
Try to plan that for spring or fall as summers can be
very brutal with heat, humidity and air pollution.

I was lucky growing up there (in the suburbs). All of our
school field trips were to so many places there.

Before you leave SL, have you ever done the
Gateway Arch tour? That sounds fun to do.

Maybe another small city to consider - Newport, RI.
There, you can see the church where JFK got married.
Even more interesting is to see all the summer "cottages"
of the super rich from 100 years ago.

The most impressive one is the "Breakers."
"The Breakers is the grandest of Newport's summer "cottages"
and a symbol of the Vanderbilt family's social and financial
preeminence in turn of the century."

It's a friggin castle! And that was their summer "cottage?"
Do an image search for "Newport Breakers" and be amazed.

I saw it most days for 14 months. I lived only 1/2 mile away
and almost right out in front was my favorite surfing spot.
I never took the inside tour. Wish I had now.

Add me! I never cleaned my charcoal grill. Once done with
cooking, the grill still cooks off any leftover mess.
Biggest mess was from chicken with bbq sauce.

Next time, the new fire and heat burns the grill again.
Kills all the cooties.

A wonderful city to explore is Winnipeg, Canada... most can be seen on
a walking tour. There's fabulous shopping and fantastic eateries,
especially in Chinatown. There are also tours by real double decker
buses, and dinner tours of the River Rouge by paddlewheeler. Don't
miss the Winnipeg zoo and botanic garden. The Museum of Man is a
must-see as is the Planetarium. Visit the splendid Fort Garry Hotel,
has a grand bar and dining room:
