7.25lbs of cheeses, including 24oz of home made ricotta cheese. A
gallon of home made sauce from scratch, and 3 pounds of snausage &
ground beef.

Also eggs, shrooms, sauteed onions, spinach, 11 Italian herbs and
spices... all made a 3x5, 8x8, 9x9 and a 9x13 perfectly. The 3x5 is
bowl scrapings and floor sweepings along with one extra noodle from
each package. Rolls are rising.....

Took a nap while rolls were rising in the muffin tins ... Oops!
Fluffiest rolls ever! A few started to deflate but I got them into
the oven quick enough.

https://i.postimg.cc/wMWWjnVB/Overrisen-Rolls.jpg

Cooked the 9x9 and 3x5 and the rest frozen.

I was feeling so happy with myself I rubbed one out.

The wallpaper has to go and the butt needs more rub.  The lasagna and
rolls look outstanding!

Ever try yellow mustard under the rub?  It works!  I was afraid to try
it but, somehow, the mustard taste is gone and it makes a great glue for
the rub.

Found it...

I just remodled the kitchen to 1984 for nostalgia's sake and
hand-picked that walpapper. It was just put up.

And the butt is probably OVER rubbed, but I noticed the same thing
you did in when I saw the picture. Trust me, when I rub one out, I
do it thoroughly (and naturally).

It's going to dry brine probably until Tuesday so I hope the salt
and spice gets way down into there otherwise the bark will be way
oversalted/spiced.

WTf have you cooked lately that we can see, motherfucker!

Meh. That's very similar to the wallpaper we hung in our first kitchen,
way back in 1990. Nowadays I wouldn't have wallpaper anywhere in
the house.

Never used it, eh? It's works perfectly and I like the tender
texture rather than that rubbery frustrating shit that adds so much
more work. You just have to add a little water to your sauce -
maybe 1/3cup per pan.

That is rather vintage wallpaper, and not my level of vintage. I've
seen quite a few older wallpapers that I like. I liked the wallpaper in
my front room going up the steps quite a bit (from when I first got the
house), but it was not in great shape, so down it went. I hate
stripping wall paper. I might up some up there again some day. Not in
the kitchen or bathroom.

I'm using a tablet for this post so it's tough going. OTOH tablets could be the future so I want to get in on the future. Any photo I take with my phone gets uploaded to Google Photo which makes it accessible from any device. If you don't want to go that route, the easiest way to transfer pictures to your tablet is to email it toyour tablet.

I do prefer a good old-fashioned keyboard but the tablet appears to be the computer of choice for the youngest generation of computer users. That's what I see happening. I've never seen my granddaughter using a GOF'd keyboard. She uses a tablet exclusively.
Getting rid of mouses, touch pads, and keyboards, seems to the the natural evolution of things. It doesn't really matter what the older generation prefers.

I wish I had given the keyboard on my laptop a test drive before I

I surely agree. I hate touch screen keyboards even for short phrases.
I would not ever post on Usenet if I didn't have a full-size keyboard.
Maybe that's why "kids" don't send e-mails anymore.

I've seen the same thing. "Kids" are now baffled by actual computers.
I have a friend my age who went back to college recently, surrounded by
kids just roughly 6 years younger than him... he can't believe now many
college kids don't understand file structure on a computer; they only
understand smart phones and tablets. It's pretty sad if you ask me.

That's probably gone the way of an old stereotype now. I've read mid
century magazines that are advertising new outdoor grills, so the
husband can help in cooking; depicting a happy looking family, the wife
sitting on a picnic bench (or carrying side dishes out), and the husband
standing in front of an outdoor grill holding a spatula.

Could have been my house. I can only remember a few times my wife ever
used the grill. She never touched the smoker. In summer we ate on the
deck most nights and if something was grilled, I usually did it.

I don't know why old folks feel the need to dis modern computers. If I had known of the phone I'd be carrying around in my pocket back in 1999, it would have blown my mind. It's a tiny hand held device that's more powerful than any computers available back then. I doubt that I'd believe that such a device would be even possible. I wouldn't care if it didn't have a keyboard.

Americans were able to vote for the Trump clown. The deplorables are
poorly educated, poorly informed, have never been out of their own

And there you are: Donald Trump. I can't wait for the next American

Are you sure he doesn't do it because _he_ is confused?

I, too, use a separate keyboard and mouse. Not wireless, though; with
wireless you have to deal with battery life. I had a wireless mouse
which I kept forgetting to turn off so the batteries died pretty
quickly. I went back to the USB corded mouse.

No desktop pc here, it's a laptop and of course the keyboard is attached
to the screen. But I do use a mouse, wireless as I hate the touchpad on
laptops. The mouse does go to sleep if not used in a certain length of
time but once I touch it, it's ready to go. I have to replace the battery
about every year and half or so.

Well, that's you. Sure, a smart phone is a powerful portable multi-task
device, I'll give it that. Of course, it's also not very good at that
job due to significant limitations. Smart phone = processed aerosol
cheese, as opposed to real aged cheddar.

It can't come close to substituting functionality of a real computer, as
Cindy pointed out in a prior post. No keyboard kills the rest of it for
me. Tiny screen cuts functionality. It's far more difficult to
multitask, etc.

That's the part I consider sad. They think that they are tech-whizzes,
but they are as clueless as my 83 year old grandmother with a real computer.

I am proficient with bother computers and tablet-like smart devices, but
I don't care to deal with substandard results from the latter unless I
was in a pinch.

At our agency some of our younger students are very adept with mobile platforms, but oft - times they
have to take a "remedial" digital literary course, just to learn the "desktop basics", e.g. how to make and
design Google and Word docs for a basic resume, etc...

Years ago I had a Blackberry, those were phones with keyboards, and I loved it. Alas, now history:

WIKI:

"BlackBerry was one of the most prominent smartphone brands in the world, specializing in
secure communications and mobile productivity, and well known for the keyboards on most
of its devices. At its peak in September 2013, there were 85 million BlackBerry subscribers
worldwide. However, BlackBerry lost its dominant position in the market due to the
success of the Android and iOS platforms; its numbers had fallen to 23 million in March 2016..."

That a very old person attitude. Kids are able to send text messages without a keyboard and they create these messages with blinding speed. The kids these days ain't stupid - that's mostly an old person attitude.
Contrary to popular beliefs of some people, old folks aren't writing the Great American Novel, nor are they doing much CAD computing i.e., they don't need a 65 to 125 watt monster to do old folks computing. Mostly, old folks are afraid to give up the things they learned to use 20 to 30 years ago. That's fine with me if they want to live in the past but that doesn't mean they're superior to people that didn't have to tolerate those bad old days of computing. I sure lived through all that hell, I'm just happy to be done with that nonsense.
I just bought a used Chromebook and set it up in a few minutes. Mostly, I logged into my Google account and put in the WiFi password. That's it. It's loading in my programs and updating the computer as I type this. Amazing!
