Not in the entire US. Mainly in the South.
Here in DamnYankeeLand, if you order "tea" they might ask "hot or iced".
Hot would likely come with tea in a bag, because so few people drink
hot tea. Iced tea would come unsweetened.
All bets are off in Asian restaurants. There you'd likely get tea made
from leaves but instant coffee.

No argument there. That's why I eat relatively little prefab food.
During this time of tribulation, I've been buying sandwich buns at
the grocery store. They're a little sweet, but tolerable. I look
forward to the time when the bakery has enough business to warrant
their usual panoply of goods.
