I bought a bag of Cheetos Puffs yesterday. This isn't something I have
as a snack on a regular basis but I've always liked Cheetos.

They were "stale". No crunch to them at all! I can only guess they
were stored in a very humid warehouse. The Best By date on the bag is
29 November 2022.

I called the Questions/Comments toll-free number printed on the bag. I
told the person who took the call the Best By date and some other info
printed on the bag, answered a few questions. They're going to send me
some coupons for Frito-Lay products.

Meanwhile, rather than simply throw them out, I put some on a baking
sheet in a 250°F oven for about 10 minutes. Voila! They crisped back
up again. :)

It pays to complain. I once complained to a local company about a cherry
pit in a jar of jam. They sent a letter with an apology and included a
whole bunch of coupons for their products. Another complaint did not
work out as well. I had complained about a cream horn that had bluish
green fuzz that spotted inside after I had taken a bite. They sent a
nice letter and a package with a dozen butter tarts. The tarts had been
in transit for a while so they were less than fresh, but the worst part
was that the box had been bent and squashed so the tarts were in sad
shape.

I guess it all started when I was about 11 years old.

Although I had heard of it, I wasn't masturbating then, because I thought you had to
have started puberty before you could get an orgasm.

So I hadn't even tried it.

Not always. I once complained to my wife about how dinner was cooked.
She told me to make myself a sandwich. This was before Google so I could
not look up some of the words she said at the time.

I'll bet you never complained again about your wife's dinner. My wife
is not a good cook but I never complain about her dinners. Women know
how to deal with such complaints, they close their sandwhich shop. LOL

The difference there is they shipped you a replacement product which was
perishable and got squashed in transit. They won't be mailing me a bag
of Cheetos.

The coupons were a much better deal.

Humidity generally doesn't affect unopened bagged snacks. The
package had a hole in it.

No, it it didn't! The bag still "popped" when I opened it and released
the air inside. The product was soft and mushy. It was weird. I was
able to re-crisp them in the oven.
