Please can you help me.

I have an old manuscript of Scottish/Irish country
dances and quadrilles from 1867 that I am interpreting
the dances from.

I need to match the dances described with contemporary
publications of old Scottish dances - that is
pre-RSCDS. Please does anyone know the exact titles
for the publications the authors of which were:

Allan
Kerr
Lowe
Wallace
Latimer
Jamison (Jamieson?)
Elizabeth MacLachlan

Who were these collectors/researchers/authors of books
on the old Scottish country dancing/ballroom dances.

Many thanks - Chris B.

I can answer most of those, but no way in hell am I going to for
somebody who makes themselves as anonymous as you have (posting
from a Nazi-friendly spamsite with a faked Yahoo message-id and
gratuitous advert in the sig).

Post from an ISP with a meaningful TOS agreement with a working
return address, at least.

In fact, for anybody who has *ever* posted from nym.alias.net, I'm
not going to do a damn thing for you unless you identify yourself
publicly to the same extent I do. I am not about to help out the
Aryan Nations country dance club.

This could be Jamie Jamison. There is an article about him and some other great
Scottish dancers at:

Thank you for your helpful response.

Did you not wonder WHY I have to use an alias email address? Deja
has shut down, Google wont allow posting to newsgroups, and the
only alternative I have is CompuSeve at work which costs a fortune
to use. Therefore a mail2news servers is all I really have right
now.

Anyway no matter - I've found the answers from better sources than
yours. However I hope that I DON'T ever have the misfortune to
meet you, but then by the shear arrogance and intolerance of your
response which indicates that you probably don't mix with people
very much, I probably wont.

Dear CJB,

What are the sources you are researching, that you needed the
references for?
