We have a blast in Juneau, men dancing women's parts and women dancing
men's. We provide ugly ties, skirts and petticoats for folks who wish to
designate themselves as another gender. It seems that there are some
dances which lend themselves to just being partners, and that gender is
not important. Much of the fun is in being a community.

You betcha! My prefered switch-wear is a black bow tie (sleek formal
tuxedo variety). I put this on whenever I'm dancing on the "men's side".
A friend, who enjoys the look of the bow tie, suggested stitching a small
pink silk flower to the back side of the tie... simply by rotating the tie
front-to-back, I could then have both the formal "men's" look, or an
elegant woman's choker.
